My flares are fab'd to fit my car and only my car; I will never stop at a light and see a Porsche like mine.
Some may like it, many will hate it, but in the end I have made most of the modifications to my car myself with my tools.

I do not like to purchase something that I can build, I want to attempt the challenge.

Further, I want my creative design on the car not some stamped out reproduction of what someone else thinks is cool.
Beyond that the whole back is going to be one piece for easy of service and weight.

Soooo, I'm guessing you're either an engineer or a masochist.

Either way, interresting project.

I just enjoy building things. I father was a toy designer some of that rubbed off on me.
If I build it, I can fix it.

yeah, stock is not my thing.
below is the 1st mock up of a possible wing. It is actually smaller in all dimensions than the stock 930 wing I took off. I have not started the mounting base yet.

a few start to finish pictures:

Nice job Reb, I've have been subscribed for a while, still working on mine. I couldn't have said it better. "If I can build it, I can fix it" you have captured it in one sentence. You car is looks awesome keep going. One of a kind is, well, one of a kind.

I think the tail will add a lot of good to the asthetics, along with the flares. Something was missing with the chopped top and I think these are it. This is actually kinda turning into a real "rat-rod" of porsches. I'm not sure if that is what you are going for but that's what I'm getting. Getting better. Nice!

I think the exhaust sound turned out quite nice and "European" vs older muscle car with cackling. Love the sound of a big Hemi in a Dart, but a Porsche should sound different.

Are we doing anything with the "flags"?

Thanks, I built the exhaust myself.
I am working on a play money budget that needs to fly below the wife's radar. The mirrors are on the list for later this spring.
I am looking for a source if anyone knows of one.

Hello Rebel

I have looked a little on your car weight and if i understand your car is 2403 pounds without driver? this is because i have just weighed my 911 ls1v8 and it was 1140 kg - 2280 pounds do you have A/C or power steering? I even have a full rollcage. I think your car is cool and it reminds me of Rauhwelt from Japan and they are "über cool"--- I calculated wrong so my weight is about 2500 pounds

hmmmm, i'll have to have it re-weighed this spring when I am done. I have a full cage as well with stock seats. I do not have A/C or power steering.
I have a full size fuel cell 15+ gallons of gas and a large radiator.
My cage may be the difference, it braces out to the suspension points. I also had all the shock mounts braced for coilovers.
Also mine may be a R.O.W. but it does have the heavy US spec bumpers.

thanks for the positive input.

going wide for the spring.
