I read the seller's description. In one paragraph the horsepower drops by 150. At that rate there is probably no power left at all now, so I won't bother to go have a look at it. Anyway, I want to save my eyes.

Lots of money put into that thing....

Yes it's strange, but strangely alluring.

I think that is a RINSPEED (swiss tuner).

Mind you it does not make it beautiful but it has pedigree.

80s excess.

So they tried to make a Porsche look like a Ferrari? Don't you usually start with something cheaper? (Fiero)

From the ad:

Here is a Miami Vice era icon that found it's way to Unique's showroom straight from the 80's! It's a slant nose 1986 Rinspeed Porsche 911 R69, which is 1 of 1 in the states like this and is a one owner vehicle that was purchased in the summer of 87. It was created by Rinspeed Design as a one-off body style based on the Porsche 911 Turbo with obvious inspiration taken from the Ferrari Testarossa. It's a single turbo engine that produces 450hp. This car had a suggested retail price of $160,000 USD back in 1986. It currently has 9,185 miles on it and appears as though Crockett and Tubb's may have just dropped it off themselves. This vehicle was also a show car for Blaupunkt and used for sound system and accessory shows in Las Vagas and Dallas. The car is fitted with an $8000 Blaupunkt sound system (that is 80's money!) and as you can see by the steering wheel, this is an impressive system. This is a 300hp car that will not disappoint in any way, wether it's speed, handling, appearance, or comfort this car has it all. Pictures are worth a thousand words as they say so take your time and look through them this car is absolutely stunning. This is a once in a lifetime chance to own such a car. If you would like to know more email us at ''sales@uniquemankato.com'' or call 507-386-1726 Better yet stop by and check out this rare sports car in person! - See more at: 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo | Mankato, Minnesota | Unique Specialty and Classic Cars

All the lights came from a 944. Headlight buckets, tail lights, even side markers are all stock 944.

Not exactly what I would consider an upgrade.

I can debunk already the part of the one-off.

Rinspeed has made at least dozen of them.

Pretty sure Tubb's dropped it off. I remember some of the cars he was 'pushing' when his TV career went south.

that sums it up pretty good. its one of those things thats so ugly you cant stop looking at it and you keep trying to make yourself like it.

lot of oil under the car for a 10k mile car.

did you see the steering wheel? whats on there, a full keyboard? puts a new meaning to texting and driving.

how about the seat buttons. looks like something out of a 747. other than that, the interior was not molested too much.

you kn ow whats worse than seeiing ugly cars like this, its the fact that somewhere out there, there is someone that likes this enough to pay $$$ to make it look like this.
