Is that expected sale price or actual? Just goes to show that the casual non-enthusiast buyer has no idea what they are buying. "Wow, look. A shiny yellow Porsche..............."

I do like the color and the Carrera door decal on that car though.

The rare headlight washers pushed it over the edge!

I think a pair just sold for $1k on this forum...

Not a SC but most expensive Carrera I've ever seen for sale-http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-Carrera-Coupe-2-Door-1985-porsche-911-coupe-nutmeg-brown-12-500-miles-all-documentation-/391036885525?forcerrptr=true&hash=item5b0b9d5a15&i tem=391036885525&pt=US_Cars_Trucks

Well, this is a perfect example of what sets off the Chicken Littles. If that car gets $30K, it's a strong price for what it is. But if the (probably deluded) seller was promised $50/+, the quick read will be "didn't meet reserve."

This may explain the BIN price of 39,000 on the white SC in the other thread. Purchased at Mecum.

I am going to have to raise my insurance payout for total loss pretty soon!

OL Lord Techweenie for give us as we thou sin. I forget you know all and us Chicken Little's must scream for your forgiveness.

On the other hand this car did receive bids for over 40k and the Owner wanted 50k +/- Do we know who was real bidders and not. No but we do know as seeing in person. That there was real people raising their hands up to bid. Bid goes on Price was $50k, will it sell probably not. but it is a interesting Discussion.

Kind of unusual for a car dealer to be on the side of the folks talking about prices falling, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

For such a low mileage car, it wasn't that nice and who ever wrote the description either didn't know SC or flat out lied..

It didn't have correct 85mph speedo and they have regular sc brakes not 930, makes me wonder what my 35k mile black weissach would do

Yep, was a crazy auction, some cars that should have brought good money, sold way too cheap, others like this.
