My last acquisition had active leaks when I bought it.
Drained the oil and noticed it was synthetic.
Went back in with Valvoline VR1 (zinc) 20W/50.
Bone dry now.

I like 2.7s but someone else paid to make mine good. If I were faced with that decision, I think I’d find a running 3.0 SC motor and get back on the road. You could sell that 2.7 for something.
