I thought I would give a quick update to what has been going on with my car. I decided to intercool the car. The primary reason was to keep it cool and a little added insurance. If I gained a few HP in the process than that would be cool too. I did not want to put a big tail on the car though, I wanted to keep the sleeper look... So, we fabbed a custom intercooler to fit under a ducktail.
Tha car was run on the dyno with and without the intercooler. The numbers were very close in both configurations about 340RWHP without the intercooler and as much as 358.7 RWHP with the intercooler. The day the car was on the dyno it was 105 degrees, so I would imagine that on a cool day and with the car moving we should be making a bit more. The boost was run from 14 psi up to as high as 17 psi (.97-1.17 bar) with 91 octane as well as 100 octane fuel. NEVER a hint of detonation!!! Henry's Twin-Plug set-up is too cool. Based on the dyno numbers, I will run the car at 15psi (1.03 bar) and will enjoy right at 349 RWHP!!!! I am also now running 17x8 & 9.5's with 235/275 Toyo RA-1's to keep her planted. That may be one of the slickestIC setups I have seen. I know the stock 930 IC will fit uner a duck tail... but thats only because the thing is tiny and terribly inefficient. Nice work

Who fabbed the intercooler? It's very slick. I'm thinking about the same sort of thing.

I plan to do the same thing with my project motor. Looks like you managed to get the entire unit under the grill. Nice stealth look!

Been dealing with Turbo cars for about a decade....this time after seing your pictures...I am acutally lost for words...which is very rare for me...I am salivating.
Firstly...who ever fabbed that IC is a hell of a TIG welder and GREAT fabricator. Secondly...your set-up looks extremely clean and absolutely stealth....your power numbers prove that Thirdly...did I mention I was salivating? I just saw the top of the mountain...looks fantastic.... Yasin - just humbled....

The list of people needing to know who fabbed this is growing...
![]() I noticed that on the top picture you have an exhaust pipe running straight out on the left side but I can't see where that would come from in the second picture. Is it a dummy pipe or is it the wastegate dump?

Thanks, for all of the very kind words. Here is a quick shot taken during the fitting stages of the wastegate dump pipe, which ends up at 3" at the rear to perfectly match up with the real exhaust pipe. I wanted it to look like a naturally aspirated 911 with dual exhaust at first glance (RS/RSR look). Slammed for time and will try to respond to everything else a bit later. Off to work now : ((

Looks like a well made homebuilt, with two cores spliced together in the center section. Very nice job.
