Back to the future
This is my current BMW ride. 2003 R1150R that I bought of my brother after his 12 years of ownership.

Lightened and balanced, ported, Rocket Sprockets, InDuct, Chip, cat eliminaotr and free flowing muffler. Rebuilt shocks by Shock Treatment in Sydney. A blast to ride.



40 years ago I owned and rebuilt a 1976 Laverda 1000 3CL. I rebuilt the motor, fitted Ducati hubs for wire wheels and upgraded brakes and suspension.



I traded the 1000 3CL in on a 1986 Laverda 1000 SFC and fitted the German C6 cams and a 3 into 1 exhaust. I also had the Marzochhi forks and shocks rebuilt. Ended up with 96 rwhp with not so good coils.




Both bikes on trade in day.




my 1978 Ducati 750 GT "parts bin special". 25 were built in 1978 as parts bin specials as per the Australian importers request. Rebuilt engine, brakes and suuspension.




Even further back my Kawasaki Z900. rebuilt to 1132 ccs, balanced, ported, Yoshimura cams and smooth bore carbies. calculated to do 155 mph in 1982. Fitted with Moriwaki mags given to Graeame Crosby by Moriwaki when he won in Japan




now to the new current 1977 Laverda 1000 3CL. Bought it from a mate and in the process of some sublte changes with 4 piston Brembos for the front, Kawasaki 900 front fender. I am having the forks rebuilt with Gold valve emulators and rechromed tubes. I will get Racetech shocks for the rear later.

I had a Z900, did the similar road and track cam upgrade with yoshimura exhaust and topped off with the 24 L tank from Cosby’s 24 hour bike.

Not sure if I ever posted the F4 which was acquired in 2019 (how time flies!!!) but it’s recommissioned and ready to ride

My lost love
I agree with Lennie... As much as I love my 'S' the only bike I regret selling was my 75' Laverda 3C. I had 14 wonderful years with that one.

1993 K75, 16.6k miles, runs like a top.
