Thanks, Billy - nice RC24!

His asking price of $3,800 CA would be $2,743.98 USD, so not a bad price at all.

I have the same year/model bike coming Monday - without the mods this one has.

Gonna pass on this one - hope she finds a good home!

Look what the Michelin Man just brought me.

All 3 pretty close to complete, came with titles and working keys, fuel tanks all clean, brakes and clutches working. Not sure yet how much work will be needed with carbs on the 1st and 2nd......3rd will get a new set off the shelf after some engine diagnostics. All 3 will get new batteries, too.

That last one came from Shaun's backyard.....East Walpole.....

Isn't rare sport bike just a polite way of saying you can't get parts for it?

Finally started commuting to work with the bike. So happy to ride it home last night and back this morning. The only downside is hitting 300K miles on the BMW is going to take a lot longer. But bike will rack up those fast.

Dayum! That's a looker. The only rival may be the 916. I assume you parked it in front of that sign for obvious reasons....enjoy!

Thanks Mike, it is fun. And the fairings are great for bouncing kids off the street into the grass.

At 5am I do have to roll the bike a good 100 feet onto a main road with no houses on it to start it up and get moving.

1960 Cushman Super Eagle

Not really a motorcycle but an old Cushman scooter.
My brother was cleaning out his hanger and gave me this 1960 Cushman Super Eagle and a 1970 Suzuki T125 Stinger (twin cylinder), both which hadn't run in 10+ years.
The Cushman sat because the "stator" was shot and produced no spark, and the Suzuki's gas tank had rotted through along with the carbs drying out and the remnants of the mixed gas & oil hardening like glue in the carbs.
The stator consists of 4 AC coils for lights & horn, and 1 magneto for spark.
As many parts are no longer available I started looking for parts and knowledge about them on the internet. I found a guy in Visalia, Ca who rebuilds stators.
He did an amazing job repairing and restoring it to looking like new PLUS IT WORKED TOO!
The Engine is a 8HP Cushman Husky with kick starter pedal and I recently added a compression release as it's kinda sorta hard to kick over!
The first picture is the rebuilt stator..

1970 Suzuki T125 (Twin)

This is the other bike my brother gave me and like the Cushman, it too had been sitting over 10+ years also. The gas tank had rotted through, the carbs, petcock and lines were clogged with the gas & oil from the auto lube which hardened like glue.
Recently started fixing the tank, and after another inside cleaning I will coat the inside with a gas tank sealant either Kreem or Red Coat. The metal is so thin I decided to use JB Weld to seal all the holes and damage on the underside of the tank.
Carb rebuild kits are on the way and I have a gallon of Chem Dip Carb cleaner ready to start on them
I put new tires and tubes on as the old were cracking apart.
The bike got rusted and pitted and have been cleaning it up so it’s now a “looking good at 10 feet or more”, however the chrome on the rims was good so they cleaned up great.
I do have all the parts for the bike and the rubbers for the tank cleaned up and softened like new.
The electrical is all fine and tested and I have spark too!
Went looking on ebay for parts and the prices are insane. There is a new headlight bulb for over $500!
