So do I.... A bit nervous as I have not been on even a practice track in over two years. Probably not going to fair too well even in the 50+ vet class I am going to be racing in. As usual, my wife is less than thrilled.

I got this in my Craigslist score. $1500 with all accessories. Perfect for tail of the dragon fall riding. Admittedly it’s been about 5 years since I’ve owned my last bike. So I’ll be driving pretty slow. I’m more worried about those people texting and driving. 2005 Yamaha FZ6 14,000 miles.

A great buy - I agree. I have an '03 FZ1 (on the first few pages of this thread). It's a great, dependable, fun bike. It has no resale value either. For what it is, I'll keep it until I decide not to ride anymore.

Another VFR followed me home. Just like my other two....an '87 700.

This one is in pretty good shape outside the dented fuel tank. Runs great - and that Kerker especially sounds fantastic!

32,000 miles. Recent oil and spark plug change. Tires in good condition. Everything works!

I'll try to get a vid up later in the week with sound.

With weather turning cold, used bikes are cheap..
Picked up a nearly stock 2001 SV650S, minor body work scratches,
needs carb sync, oil/filter/coolant/brake fluid change, 17k miles.
$1250 cash.

Lots of potential.

One of the petcocks on my '76 R90/6 is leaking and while snooping around on the Net I found this informative article - so just passing it along:

Time to own up

So the blue truck in the picture belonged to my best friend in HS. A '74 Toyota Hi Lux, had some upgrades to exhaust and a couple other items. Was very nice compared to my '77 orange Datsun King Cab...LOL. I had white spoke rims that were horribly unbalanced. We used to race after school in a vacant lot by Tuckers Grove in Goleta. Once I got all the emissions stuff removed from the Datsun I got a bit more competitive LOL. Max HP for either truck was around 80. Here is my buddy Dale helping me unload the KDX, site is just North of Carpenteria CA, now shut down, but still there.

Dale rode a new to market XR 350, we rode enduro events in the SoCal desert, his bike made hill climbs a walk in the park. Pro link suspension I believe is what it sported. The 4 stroke mill was far better than my 175cc 2 stroke.

Here I am in my driveway after picking up the KDX used from a guy who was a Kawasaki salesman in Goleta store. Looking at my shirt I guess I was aiming for a MD assistant, checkout the fragmented facial hair under my nose...LOL. Great days to be alive!!
