I wish I could be Robertson/square head drywall screws.
As far as Philips number 2 power bits go, I always buy Irwin. they seem to fit better and don't round off. |

I have be replacing all of my stash of 2" and up phillips screws with torx. I just don't have time to deal with phillips.

My drywall gun has a torque adjustment so it wouldn't go too deep anyway. Plus I watch how deep it's going in. Why I'd like large head, robertson fitting drywall screws, is because I'm often holding the sheet of drywall up with one hand and balancing the screw on the end of the bit with the other hand. Squarehead/Robertson don't fall off like that and even stay on horizontally.

You can also achieve the same thing (holding a screw) with a magnetic bit. Ain't got one? Get a magnet and magnetize the one you got....

Won't work! In the Southern Hemisphere magnets repel metal screws.
