![]() ![]() F1 is a cruel game, on track nostalgia/past success count for nothing and it punishes mediocrity ruthlessly by purging the grid of teams not keeping up. Williams is still the 2nd most successful F1 team Big changes coming to F1 which should help the smaller teams, I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping they can hang on until then

Hey Captain do you think there is a real chance that Haas hires Kubica as a development/Friday driver ? That is one of the rumors , I think Kubica could bring some stability to Haas in regards to chassis analysis/development .

Maybe he will help Haas (they certainly need it) if he can find an outlet on track too, did read he might be competing in the DTM championship I bumped into him one day at work and his arm is a real mess, amazes me he can drive a F1 car on track and be as fast as he is, especially considering the car he's driving

Typhoon headed towards Japan, might force sunday practice/qually/race... How does the weather dare mess with my F1 ? ;-)
On a serious note, I'm about to drop Comcast and will sub to the F1 pay streaming broadcast. Is any of you using it, is it better now ? How long after the race is the replay available ? |

https://f1tv.formula1.com/en/ You can watch it all live for $80 per year- and replays whenever you want. ESPN doesn't carry F1. It dropped out during Baku and in Germany but they actually refunded money and apologized. Well worth it IMO. |

The ESPN coverage is all just Sky Sports. They do OK, if the have some announcers that can speak some form of English. One of the Scottish guys is almost impossible to understand.
They have a TON of inside jokes with each other, and get into times where they are both talking at the same time, and then laughing like two guys at a bar drinking several pints of beer. Once again I wonder what was going on in the race, and not their banter. The best part, is the race is broadcast with no commercials. The worst part is ESPN2 will cut off the post race interviews mid sentence to switch to a old low definition, football game from the early 1980s, or change to a high school football game from several years ago. I am always left wondering, if anyone at all cares about watching a game played 30 or 40 years ago.

I'll give the F1 streaming service a chance - I wouldn't mind picking my feed and seeing supercup races - also the replays would be good because I have no intention of getting up at 4AM ;-) I was wondering if it was over its teething problems, but I imagine most of you watch on TV like I did...

I record all three practice sessions, qualifying and of course the race. All recorded on my DVR, and watched at my schedule.

Typhoon looks like it's dead set on Suzuka. This should be interesting.

Behind the scenes in the factory. This is the stuff Merc will show the world; I can't imagine what happens in
![]() Racing at the top level of any pro series is now a science project first and foremost. Little wonder that the race itself is the least interesting part of the experiment.
