#1 I was in 5th grade. We had just moved into this strange house that had a red light in the living room and a room in the basement that just seemed off. When we remodeled and tore the room apart, we (my parents and Uncle) found chains and sex toys in the walls.
My sister and I went to different schools – my sisters school started before mine. So my mom left me at the house. I was in the kitchen playing with my remote control Peterbilt truck when all of the sudden the house got cold. I looked up and saw some type of blurry figure come up the stairs, round the railing and walked down the hallway in front of me and the bar doors my mom hung actually moved. I. FREAKED. OUT. My mom found me in the laundry room with a kitchen knife but never believed me.

#2 Older now – working for a large company in Silicon Valley (25k+ employees). A person, who we’ll call Larry, came out of a long meeting, sat at his desk and slipped into a diabetic coma and died. When they took him away, they took him through the freight elevator and through shipping/receiving area. A couple of nights pass and an electrical contractor shows up at 2am to do some work in that same building. He gets into the freight elevator and just as he turns around something got in the elevator with him. He dropped his tools and ran out of the elevator. The next day he reported this to his manager and his manager called our facilities guy to relay what happened. Our facilities guy asked what him what he saw and the electrician described Larry right down to the cloths he was wearing when he died. There were a few more sightings and it was enough to garner the attention of the executives. The execs called the facilities guy in to see what can be done. He told them that he’s in facilities not a ghostbuster. LOL! The last sighting, I recall was a shipping clerk seeing two shadows on the building as he was walking by himself to his car. But the shadow sped ahead of him then went up the wall.

#3 In that same building but happened years later, my coworker went into the datacenter to get something on this desk that overlooks all of the racks. He was the only person in there. He walked in, leaned over the desk, and when he went to step back to leave there were chairs lined up behind him nearly touching his legs. The chairs were not there before, had they been he would have had to move them to reach the desk. This guy is very solid. I’ve known him for 18 years - ex-law enforcement turned IT guy.

#4 Building 2 in the same complex – A lady that worked for the company for many years and her husband were both killed in a car accident on 280 as he was driving her to work. For about a week afterwards multiple people reported seeing her in the lunch room.

#5 My grandfather was a carpenter and he always wore overalls and flannel shirts. About a week after he died I was lying in bed with my wife just dozing off with the TV on. I was on my left side on the left side of the bed and my wife was on her right side on the right side of the bed. As lay there I felt like someone was staring at me. I open my eyes and I see a figure, wearing overall and flannel shirt, quickly turn and go right through the bathroom door. I freaked out and nearly shoved my wife off the bed.

I had a ghost in my first house. Turned out to be the alcoholic son of the former owner. He was sleeping it off (normally when I was at work but sometimes when I was upstairs). Changed the locks and my ghost problem went away.

I'd like to believe in ghosts, after life and UFO's

Only experienced one and was a bit of a let down, don't believe in one and can't discount one

I'll tell mine for the 500th time.

I had a good friend at work, Mark, that approach me to share rent on his house. He said that he had seen something the other night that he couldn't explain.. Since he was a party animal I thought he was probably just hallucinating. So I agreed.

1. Halloween night and with my girlfriend passing out candy. Mark was not home. Out of nowhere the timer on the stove started going off. One hour max on the timer. I didn't set it and my gf hadn't been in the kitchen. She left immediately. Chalked it up to a defective timer

2. Woke up in bed with my entire body buzzing. Like when your arm goes to sleep. I was awake though I couldn't move. I was yelling "Stop stop!". I have no idea how long I buzzed. The buzz stopped like a snap of my finger. Wrote that off as some kind of weird dream or medical condition. Has never happened again.

3. Going to bed and when I pulled back the covers I noticed they weren't my sheets. They were Mark's. When I looked at Mark's bed his had my sheets. He denied the gag. Must be a joke, I thought.

4. Got off work at 11 pm, drove home and pulled my Honda 750 SS into the garage. Mark's truck was gone. Went to the door from the garage into the kitchen and reached for the door knob. Prior to me touching the knob it started to wiggle back and forth. Not enough to open the door just enough to see movement. I thought Mark was actually home so I waited for a second or two. I then opened the door and started to go in. Just in front of me I heard something sliding across the floor. Kinda like a medium sized box sliding. Nothing I could see, just the sound. It moved away from me, struck the kitchen island, and slid around to the back side of the island. The sliding sound stopped. I turned on the lights and found nothing in the room. Nada, nothing. In any part of the house. All doors and windows were locked.

Ghosts are a regular occurrence in my life. I was always a half hearted believer but I've learned a few things over the past few years from several people and have had my own experiences. Yeah, they exist. And if you're not one who can see them regularly, they are trying to tell you something. In the original post, they're trying to tell you to get out of their basement.

Oh yes, me as well. I saw the most amazing flying object low in the sky right above our house. My wife and I couldn’t believe it. A story for another time.

As a joke I willed my Lazy-Boy to my buddy Joe. For the next few years whenever he was in my house it was his designated chair no matter what and everybody knew it.

Well, Joe preceded me in death, obviously, but his death and funeral service and all that were in his hometown many miles away. Upon my return home from the ordeal I naturally plopped myself down in Joe’s chair and cried until I felt a warm hand on my shoulder and heard, clear as a bell, ‘Good by, my friend’.

My GF and future spouse, and I were walking hand-in-hand one night and happened to look up at the stars when we both froze...’Did you see that?’

I told her not to tell me what she saw, nor I her. When we got home we each drew what we had seen and presented the sketches to each other that were as identical as if drawn by a single hand.

This is something that has defied any possible explanation by either of us for going on 40 years now.

My very young son and I would play hide-n-seek in the house. Well I got the brainiac idea to hide in a secret attic cubby-hole off an upstairs bedroom. From this spot, I could see through the slot under the access door my sons’s footies. He soon left the room and there I was, scrunched in that small space waiting...and waiting...and waiting until I couldn’t stand it anymore and went downstairs to see him playing with some toy or whatnot.

So I asked him, ‘Why did you stop playing?’

‘Because I found you.

‘Where was I?

‘Upstairs all squished up.

He said he saw me in there plain as day...

Ha!

Actually, it was a diagram of what looked like four very bright bluish stars that slowly and silently rotated about 90° then suddenly merged into one and disappeared. We’d both seen it.

I sure didn’t believe in them but if you read enough of these, it’s almost impossible not to.

My feelings exactly, If I saw something that would give me some hope there is something after this life.

A few years back my wife and I were in Savanah, GA walking down the water front. I hear a tour barker selling one of their haunted walking tours. She is telling the guy just last week a woman saw a Confederate soldier walk out of the cemetery. Perfect that is just what I need, He can walk of the cemetery and I will shake his hand. So I sign my wife and I up for the midnight tour. My wife was not very happy about it.

So a few minutes to midnight we arrive at the square a small park where the tour is to start. The guide says take lots of pictures as you may or may not see a ghost, paranormal, etc. and most show up on photos as "orbs". I say to myself I don't want to see an orb I want to see the guy walk out of the cemetery an Orb can be anything.

So I do as he says, we stop at this haunted spot, pictures, pictures, pictures. We go to the cemetery, Pictures, pictures, pictures. We visit this tavern, that house, this pot and that, pictures, pictures, pictures. There were a lot of looney tune believers on the tour. I feel energy over here, I feel this over there. Blah, blah, blah. I started to mock them while taking my pictures. I saw nothing, I felt nothing.

I get a home a few days later and start going through the pics on my disc. I took a few hundred pics on the tour. Most were spots on the photo, "orbs". That could be anything, dust humidity, who knows what?. But there were two pictures that have me thinking.

The first was the very first picture I took before the tour started, at the park.

I took a picture from across the street toward the park where the tour was gathering. There was a cross walk painted on the street and a person walking across the street toward me (a real person that was in our tour). Next to him on the left side of the photo to the persons right was a "ghostly" image of what was clearly a little girl in a Victorian dress carrying a basket.

The other was of a two story brick Colonial house. Center door, two windows on the left of the door, two on the right of the door. Second floor center was a Palladian window with two windows on the left and two windows on the right. The windows had white sheer curtains drawn and the interior of the house was dark. I depressed my shutter that took a series of about twenty photos in a second and a half. One photo about six photos into the series showed the first window to the right of the door with a whitish image in the window. This could have been a glare from a flash from another camera? However, when you zoomed in. It was again a "ghostly" image of an elderly woman in a white night gown looking out the window, holding back the drape. All the other photos before and after were of the dark house.

So what are those two images? I couldn't tell you for sure. The skepticism in me says special effects as part of the tour. However you would think others would post on the interweb of their experience and something similar? I have seen nothing that comes close to the images in my two photos or a comment that would closely resemble my photos, the cross walk or the house. Unfortunately, I had the computer crash that stored those two photos and lost them otherwise I would post.

EDIT:

On the other side of my unexplained photos, my great grand father built our family home in 1906. Several people have died in that hose. My grandmother, great grandmother and it is my understanding one person was murdered in the house.

I have never had an experience that couldn't be waved off as just an old house doing what old houses do. I try, trust me I try to believe.

Haunted places...........

Savannah, Georgia is one of the most haunted places in the United States! There are buildings there that date back into the 1700s, shanghi tunnels, multiple graveyards, etc. There have been witch trials and hangings, more killings than can be listed, mysterious deaths, etc. Going on the ghost tours (I've been on two) will have you looking over your shoulder and wanting to stay out of dark places! One of the restaurants, The Pirate House, has spirits said to have been seen by many employees and patrons. Other places like the Julliet Lowe house have spooky stories associated with them! Fortunately, the bars stay open late so an after tour shot or two are available to settle the nerves!

So all those “ghosts” everywhere but not one scintilla of proof. No clear phots, movies just Bigfoot like blurry shaky poppycock videos. In a world where millions of people walk around videoing everything.

We also still find new species or refind species that haven't been seen in decades and were thought extinct, and we make all sorts of discoveries every year.

Like I said, I'm skeptical, very skeptical, but I'm not going to say just because we haven't come up with proof, doesn't mean that it's not real or there.

Man just isn't as smart as a lot of us think we are.
