Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Took an evening stroll on the east end of KPVF:
![]() ![]() Saw some “big kitty tracks”, a VOR tower and buildings ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And oh yeah, while walking back, we hear a “crunch”. We stop and start scanning, then another louder “crunch” but louder like a small branch being broken. I scan some more then see the back and rather large ass of a bear as it goes lumbering away from us, thankfully! through the brush. I tell the Mrs., we should walk back to the car........now.After a calm but expedited stroll back to the car, we left the area. We spooked it just as much as it startled us. Lesson learned

Kinda remember years ago an article in Excellence magazine about the GoodYear Balloon being Porsche turbo powered. Anyway. Here she is. Outside my hotel window in Cleveland Ohio.

Aviation related - artwork. I saw a post with a photo of WWII aviation artwork. Got me to thinking that with the WWII aviation enthusiasts here, there might be one (or more) who would like reasonably priced artwork by the likes of Robert Taylor, et al. We have a fairly large collection of many signed and numbered lithographs that I have cataloged and planned on selling. Mustangs, Spitfires, P-40, B-25, Me-109... Battle of Britain pilot signatures and the like. Just don't have the right venue and can't bear to do it through Ebay. I planned on putting very reasonable prices on these - lower than you will find elsewhere, so if any of you might have interest, PM me and I would be happy to let you know what I have.
In the meantime, the Staggering had her first flight Thursday!! So pumped. ![]()

From other issues with Tapatalk and working with the developers, I have been told that PP is running on old firmware. I have sent the moderators the info but haven’t heard anything back.

Went flying this morning. It was just a nice day so I first got up above the clouds where it’s a little cooler.

I flew over where we are thinking of buying a house. It is just off the harbor with the canal in the back. It would be minutes to the gulf.
