Waste Management is looking good. I mean, Covid or no Covid, people will need their trash taken away. Even more so with all those discarded delivery packages.
Would be a good one to buy a few shares and let it run for 5+ years. |

I am thinking airlines and trucking companies.
The airlines have been way over sold, I think lots of upside potential!

Back to real estate: I see a 20% drop in CA over the next year and a slow climb back to present day levels. And then another gain during the late '20's to even higher levels. I'll be checking out somewhere about then if I stay healthy so it's good for the heirs. |

Come on. If you thought you were punishing Pelican for banning you, you were only punishing yourself. They sell to anyone, assbites and all others. I know, I was on the phones for Pelican for a short time. Plenty of jerks call in. |

Oh and I bought REITs at the bottom, made a few $ and then turned around and sank it into a lot of oil stocks - RIG mostly. Time will tell if that was smart or foolish, but it’s so low right now it’s a **** or bust situation. After the shellacking I took being in oil in January I’m leaning towards foolish, but again, we shall see. Last edited by Alan A; 04-11-2020 at 05:34 AM.. |

It didn't punish me at all. There are lots of places that did not ban me that sell parts. I was shocked at the assortment after 20 years of exclusivity. Although my intent was not to punish anyone, I simply pointed out to someone that apparently missed me here that I had been unable to order (I'm sorry that I occupy so much space in your brain that you somehow thought you were Rawnee). I was banned for insulting another member...just like you just did me. Drop the dime on yourself and see...then let us know in a month if you could order parts.

For next time, you don’t need to log in to place an order.

I couldn't get the site to do anything other than to tell me "You are banned" when I clicked on the link. Maybe I was on super duper special ban. Oh well. Not a big problem.

You have to clear browser cookies in order to access the site when banned (I know from several experiences, as you are aware, FintIsStoned
). But regardless, I'm not giving my money to an organization that silences folks for BS (of course, one person's BS is another's crime against humanity, so there is that).

Not sure this is the time to buy. Warren Buffet just sold off about $30 Mil in stocks. Sounds like to me he is expecting another downturn. When all this got started, I sold out and left the $$$ in a cash fund/money market. If I buy back in now in the same mutuals I had before, I can get about 15% more shares for the money. However, another big downturn might be kind of hard on our investment dollars! Gonna wait and watch to see what happens next week.

30M in one stock is like most of us dropping some change down the back of the sofa to someone like Mr Buffett. When he sells 30B it’s time to get out of Dodge.

Berkshire sold 869,000 shares (~$30 mil) of a single stock, not stocks, Bank of Mellon. They still own over 88 million shares, and they only sold to get under 10% ownership so they won't have to report trades besides typical quarterly to the SEC. So Berkshire sold .006% of their market cap...not exactly "sky is falling"😒 |

But to hold a parts sales company hostage because they don't allow personal attacks (90% of the reasons for bans) is not justifiable, IMO. Pelican management, take note. |

Of course you insulted me...and it is not the first time. You should play the hall monitor and turn yourself in like you do others. But, we both know that you would not suffer any consequences. Get off my lawn and stop stalking me. I really don't need your condescension or platitudes. Use them on your buddies here that you don't complain about for doing the exact same thing that I do. Guys like you damage the Pelican business model. Adults can insult each other and still buy parts. They can't if they can't access the site. A lot of folks come here because they can post without a nanny. They locked off PARF to guests which was bringing a lot of people to the site...to cater to a bunch of old folks posting that they are no longer car guys in OT. Pelican management, take note.
