I posted that on Nextdoor in a July 4th thread and got chastised by a bunch of Karens. "Do you actually think that's funny?" etc. Fun times.

"Ethereal Elegance: The White Egret Orchid"
Captured in this image is the White Egret Orchid (Habenaria radiata), a botanical marvel celebrated for its delicate beauty that echoes the poised elegance of an egret in flight. Believed to symbolize purity and the spirit of freedom, this orchid enchants with its white, fringed petals that dance like feathers on the wind.
Thriving in cool to intermediate conditions with high humidity and ample light, the White Egret Orchid requires careful attention to mimic its natural boggy habitat. Water it regularly but allow for good drainage—its roots should never sit in water. With the right care, this orchid will grace your space with its otherworldly charm.

The mountain lion on the SUV is almost definitely a photoshop. But that would be a hell of a thing.

THe chickens on the grates aren't terribly appealing.

Billy Joel's wife and three daughters who are currently (not necessarily in the photo) 38, 8, and 6.

Billy like's 'em young. When he was 55, he married a 23 year old. His first daughter was 18 at the time. That lasted 5 years. When he was 66, he married a 33 year old and promptly popped out 2 kids.

I guess you must be a little more specific when asking for sour cream on the side now a days.

That's fantastic!

My fun today...
My discovery of our new fresh water spring!

The same spot had been previously fixed. 1.5 years ago during a drought, we had 2 other breaks within 3' of here.

I started the hole where the water was bubbling up, but the break ended up being A couple of feet away.

The fix. A plumber advised this sort of fix for that sort of break as the "bridge" is supposed to add some flexibility for when the ground moves. We're a clay heavy area, so when things dry out, the ground shrinks and moves A LOT. He also advised to backfill with sand to surround the pipes and give them the ability to shift more than when they are encased in clay.

I have no idea what the pipe with the pink/red on it is for. There's nothing in the direction that the pipe is running.
