It was 5000 years old before the nazis got hold of it.

The symbol became a very popular design element representing good luck and was prevalent in period architecture, advertising, jewelry, and on good luck tokens.

Lucas electrics, the wipers don't work most likely.

I never really paid attention to that, as most inspectors check a couple of treads standing up with a tape measure. The county I’m building in now, must’ve had some kind of lawsuit. They check every riser, tread, and nosing with tape measures and squares. Interior and exterior.

With so many people don’t understand is, that 7-3/4” is the maximum. It can be 5, 6, 7 inches, etc. as long as they are within 3/8” variance between all of them. At least, that’s my interpretation.

Winders add to the equation, but there’s a minimum depth near the narrow part. I haven’t done one in ages, so I don’t remember.
What I found on the Internet says that the narrow end of the winder has to be 6" and 12" from that narrow end has to be at least 10". I think we are just a tad off.

When we moved in, the stairs were carpeted. We've pulled the carpet, and the missus has started preparing to repaint.

The town I grew up in had swastika's on their gateway in the early 1900's.
You can guess when it was removed.

Hitler forever ruined the swastika and the mustache style he had.

It's like saying the Tao has to be erased from every culture because someone unpopular liked it long ago.
