Snow roller is a rare meteorological phenomenon in which cylindrical snowballs are formed naturally as chunks of snow roll down hill or are blown along the ground by wind, picking up further snow along the way, in much the same way that the large snowballs used in snowmen are made. They can be as small as a tennis ball, but they can also be bigger than a car.

Size comparison of a B-17 Flying Fortress and a B-29 Superfortress. The B-29 Superfortress stands as the prime example of the result of 6 years of war-driven technological innovation, an aircraft of amazing sophistication and capability that was designed from the outset to win the war in the Pacific theater.

An American Sherman tank stranded off the coast of Saipan after the landings on Saipan in
1944. It is still half underwater. Nowadays it is a popular attraction for divers.

Typical local traffic around here.

The original military social media network.

The Boeing B-17 named '5 Grand' to celebrate the 5,000th B-17 to roll off the production line at the Seattle factory since Pearl Harbor. It was signed by every employee at Plant 5. The crew that flew 5 Grand to England stated that the extra weight of the painted signatures, added with the extra drag created by them, caused the plane to fly 7 mph slower than a normal B-17G. The plane was not repainted before being sent into combat and it is claimed that the bizarre look of the B-17 attracted a lot of attention from the German fighters.
