Forgot to mention that I also polished the body a little. I think the wheel color is spot on to the real thing, or really close anyway.
Well, that's about it for now. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9c07a9208b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4fdef67d0e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a22c575035.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...654fc4c16b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f41ead4025.jpg Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

Great looking model Eric,
I'm hoping I can arrange a tour of the Ebbro design studio, if a friend can get me in If you like JDM stuff then you'll love visiting the Diakoku Parking Area in Yokohama, went a couple of weekends ago, really cool place Might start a thread on cool Japanese car stuff, as I'm planning on see as much of it as I can over the next year or two I have a good collection of Japan SuperGT McLaren F1 GTR's |

There’s also a bunch of model car stores and used stores that you can go to. If you get lucky you can get some pretty cool stuff... they usually sell extremely fast when the items are posted online. Daikoku is always pretty neat but cops come break it up all the time for a few hours. There’s a few other spots that we go to when we get kicked out though. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698941343.jpg Shoot me a PM if you’re looking to see anything in particular! I go to Japan a few weeks at a time every year and there’s always something new to see. I’ve also seen way more cool American style cars and classics than I do back in California which is pretty wild. |
How did you go about arranging the Tamiya factory tour? I'd love to do it!
Have you been to this model car show, looks like it would be a good show Inside Japan's Best Hobby Show - Speedhunters When I visited the Tamiya factory shop in Tokyo, this 1 12 Renault F1 model was in the shop window http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1698961296.jpg Built the very same kit when I was a teenager, no idea back then that it would be the first of many F1 cars |

I’ve been to the hobby show a few times, it’s chaos, but I love it. My trip earlier this year just happened to be the same time as they announced the date so I made sure to stop by. It was the busiest year ever and the line to get in wrapped around 4 blocks twice.... even a few hours into the event, I was floored! Here’s a few quick photos: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699034930.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699034930.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699034930.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699034930.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699034930.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699034930.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699034930.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699034930.jpg |
