Don't try to minimize what the vaccine can do. Everyone reacts different. From a thread here it seems the older you are the less reaction you have. I know from my own house (5 vaccinated ranging from 50 to 17 in age) that everyone reacts different to the same vaccine.
And don't forget, he has already had covid which typically makes the reaction a bit stronger since your body already recognized the spike protein. I know several people who had covid and got the Moderna vaccine. Each said the same thing... it was like having covid again.

My advice to Matt would be, don't listen to anyone saying "I don't know anyone....". Don't listen to people saying "I know someone that died!"... Don't listen to me saying I know people who had severe reactions to the vaccine. Go seek PROFESSIONAL medical advice to help make the best decision for YOU going forward.

While I was visiting my brother, he was telling me about several fully vaccinated people in his office getting covid. There are no guarantees.

The decision to get vaccinated or not is an individual decision and the best we can do is hope the person making that decision is well informed. That starts with talking to your doctor or a pharmacist you trust... not going to youtube, facebook or other social media outlets to get your info.

I mean... I've been typing from the great beyond, incredible internet service btw, since June 2020. That's when I went on vacation and people told me I'd die. BTW, who knew they'd give vaccines to dead people! I guess it was my smile!
