Before I retired, I would stop and get take-out at TB for lunch at least once a week.
Their 7 layer burrito was my fav....it came with lots of guacamole on it....yumm! Looking at their menu now..they don't offer that one anymore. The Mexican Pizza will draw me back when it returns.

You guys that think Taco Bell is tolerable, should really go to Jimboy's Tacos if there is one near you.
Not as cheap as Taco Bell, but they use actual hamburger in their food.

"Does Taco Bell use real beef in their tacos?" "Taco Bell’s seasoned beef is 88% “100 percent USDA-inspected premium real beef” and 12% common ingredients like soy, spices, water, and oats. In other words, Taco Bell’s beef is real beef, which when added to their taco sauce forms the mixture which is placed into your taco." The burrito I posted about..Chipotle Ranch Grilled Burrito is made with chicken.

Cargill one of the largest privately held companies had the "Pink Slime" issue.
They called it meat for a while. https://firstwefeast.com/eat/2013/11/pink-slime-facts Del Taco rules

^^^ The linked article mentions it's used by McD's...but no word of TB.

No.
The meat they use in their tacos is less than 50% beef, unless they started spending more money on higher quality materials recently, which is very unlikely.

Mrs mjohnson will destroy anything from the Bell - yet Del Taco is iffy for her unless it's some exit in desolate I-40 somewhere.
Nice lady otherwise, but sometimes I have to wonder... IMHO, the bell < del taco << taco cabana Taco Cabana might just be a New Mexico thing but it's beyond awesome. And usually it has goat tacos.

They had Taco Cabana in Texas I think.
Steve, I don't make up the news, just report it. No interest at all in watching your promotional video. My best friend ran the food service at a federal pen, told be about an experience he had at work. The prison used 80/20 hamburger meat. Unloaded the wrong box one time. "That one is not yours" What is it? "Textured meat protein going to Taco Bell, less than 50% meat, so it is not called hamburger."

You buddy heard it how? Steve's "promotional video" addresses exactly what you are speaking of with respect to your friends input that he heard from some dude that heard something in the prison yard. We all know it is crap food. Are you certain it is that bad?

The "Classic Combo" is $5, comes with a beefy (yes, real beef) 5 layer burrito, a hard taco, some cinnamon twists (they kick butt, they really do) and a giant American sized soda.
For $5. I don't know why Taco Bell is usually empty here, because that's a heck of a deal when you need to get some basic, palatable calories in yo belly with a bit of caffeine and sugar. I know lots of you are hoity toity buggers, but some of us still work, work hard, and don't have time for some keto vegan salad for lunch, we need calories and sugar to finish the day. Burger King also has a pretty impressive $5 meal, a DOUBLE Jr Whopper, fries, some chicken nuggets and a small soda.

Mr Kontak, that happened to my best friend, who I have known 30 years. He did not hear it from some guy on a prison yard. He was on the loading dock, signing for supplies, and they unloaded the wrong box from the refrigerated truck. I don't think it was confusing at all when I wrote it the first time, but apparently so.
As I said, they may have changed what they use here in California since this happened, but it did indeed happen. I found it funny at the time, the convicts ate better than the people at Taco Bell. Maybe they quit doing it because of the bad pub, why would I give a rat's ass what they do? Yes, I am certain it is that bad

Our local Taco Bell in Pacifica happens to be widely regarded as the most beautiful Taco Bell in the world.

I have eaten at the Pacifica Taco Bell many times and it is the best location ever. Definitely recommend if you are passing through Pacifica. Well worth the views.

The bell on College in Fort Collins CO is pretty cool, being set in an old brick house, but certainly not like the one in Pacifica!
Road tripping up to FoCo today in fact - we may just bypass far better food for a little of the Taco Bell. (Popeyes in Pueblo CO is a must along the way though as we don't have many in NM)
