My latest addition...

Not expensive (~$400USD), but a Bauhaus with a few complications. It uses a newer Miyota (Citizen) automatic movement. They are notoriously hard to regulate. It started out more than 10 seconds per day positive. I have it down to around 5 and I think I'll live with that.

And another followed me home...

Vintage Longines Ultra Chron - It beats at 36,000 BPH as opposed to 28,800 or 21,600. My oldest watch beats at 18,000 (1960 Tudor Prince Oysterdate).

Case is a bit grungy, and I plan to clean it after removing the movement.

Breitling superOcean Heritage daydate 44mm, that I bought myself for my 50th.

1/1,000 Ocean Conservancy limited edition. It’s been a fantastic watch.

That’s beautiful! I really want a blue banded watch and yours is a perfect look, although the 44mm is too big for my wrist.

Congratulations on your 50th B-day.

Thanks! My 50th was a few years ago now. Breitling makes a similar watch in 42mm. Is that still too big?

Here are a couple of my older ones. The Rolex I got for a wedding present from my wife. The Certina I recieved from my parents in about 1968. The Longines is interesting because it was also a gift from my parents. It's a commemorative model from the 1972 Munich Olympics and it was almost destroyed in a motorcycle accident. Well actually it was an accident with my eventual wife on a step through Honda 90.
The question I have is, can anyone suggets a good watchmaker in Phoenix or Tucson? The gold Teriam from the late '50's was my fathers and just last week the mainspring broke. Thanks for any suggestions you have.

Today I'm sporting my dad's Seamaster. No idea how old it is. I'll have to ask him next time I see him. I also wore this watch last night when Mrs. Noah and some friends took me out to see a Neil Diamond cover band (the only watch I have that would have been period correct).

If you own a watch specifically purchased or worn for driving your vintage 911, share a photo and thoughts.

I just picked up this vintage beauty. Vacheron Constantin - it is 34mm case, but 32mm dial; most dive wayches the dial is 28.5-29mm. It wears bigger than it seems. And it is 6mm thick, about 3 US pennies.

Honestly, look for a 1960s dive watch. The Rolex and Tudor submariner vintage watches are very pricey. You might find a Vintage Omega Seamaster for $5K.

If you want a modern watch with that vibe, I'd suggest a Tudor Blackbay 58 in black. It is an homage to their 1958 submariner.

I've since had the polished center links on this one brushed out to match the outer links.
