I'm hoping for March...not June. :)

I'm planning a "walk about" this weekend where I walk around my woods with a cigar doing absolutely nothing. Don't care what the temps are gonna be.

stevej37 01-14-2025 05:32 PM

I've noticed that when it's cold, like 10 or 15, it doesn't feel much different than when it's zero.

But a 15 degree difference in the summer is a lot.
It's a true dilemma.:)

Now they say 6 degrees tonight. I think I will leave some water running. Frozen pipes would be bad.

^^^ Hopefully you don't have much wind with temps that low.

Clouds moved in last night here and it never got below 15.

cabmandone 01-15-2025 03:50 AM

It's 2 outside this morning.

stevej37 01-15-2025 04:11 AM

^^^ Hah! A balmy 16 here now. :)

That's a buncha hooey! 12 degrees warmer up there than it is here. I'm filing a grievance!!

It's that big lake to our west....tomorrow it'll start dumping more snow on us.
The sun was nice today...dried most of the roads out.

I took a screenshot of the webcam at Michigan Tech in Houghton last night. Beautiful shot, but 16 degrees and snow flurries. I lived there for 4 years and loved it. The webcam is as close as I need to get today :D

I've been there a few times, but always in the summer.
Nice place.

I clicked on your link...then the ski hill. A few out there enjoying the snow.

I found a way to stop the snow from falling. Last weekend the forecast called for several inches of snow, so I got my snow blower out of the shed tuned it up put fresh gas and stabil in it and got it in position for the upcoming storm. Woke up Saturday and barley a dusting. Now I will just leave it in position and fully prepared and prevent the need for using it.

Weird weather here today. Close to 50 today and tomorrow. Subzero weather over the weekend. Going to get those Christmas lights down while I can!

Finally picked up one of these for $70 at the local employee-owned HW. ($90 on that A website)
Absolutely love it for shoveling the drive. 2" powder today. Did a 1-2hr job in 15 minutes. Bam done.
Didn't experience the "this is getting quite boring" with the hundredth walk past the same spot.

Lightweight, balanced, and seems pretty strong so far.
It doesn't break the hard ice tracks but no more handle to the gut when it suddenly stops.
It pushes everything to the side quickly.

It’s a pusher.

Used primarily for fake snow.

stevej37 01-16-2025 02:59 PM

^^^ I'd be done after one pass....lol
