Thanks Zeke, I thought so, but wasn't sure. He was WAAAYYYY more active on Early S (for obvious reasons). Sure do miss him.

Roger Grago

Today I was going through a stack of business cards and found this.

Roger was an amazing man, we should remember him here. His Pelican name was RST73.

RIP Roger you are missed.

I don't remember Roger from his time here, Dan. Thanks for posting this as I looked him up online and found an article from Excellence with many photos of him and his 911.

I may have been one of the last pelicans to visit JoeBob in Colorado. I had sold him a classic motorycle 5 years prior for a very low price as he wanted it badly. Long story short, he parked it outside his apartment; it was once stolen, recovered and then hit by a car and knocked over. JB was hurting for money and hounded me to buy it back. I had a soft spot in my heart for that bike and drove from WA State to Denver area in DECEMBER to buy it back....Being kind, I'll just say JB was not in a good housing situation and I was concerned about possible addictions.....WE talked a few times on the phone after, then calls never connected....Before the bike transactions, JB drove all the way from CALIF in the winter to came and stay at my home for a few days.....Nice guy....

If you go back a long way there was Otto in Venice that had a shop and a nearly unbeatable 914 at the track. His user name was simply "Otto." He was last seen here in 2013.

A good friend of mine, David Gale, passed in the Covid year and was also in Venice. He was much more well known on 914 World but really didn't post much. Mostly a parts trader and a pretty well known artist that did sculptures. John Travolta has a Gale sculpture of an airplane. I don't know his user name here.

Gary Emory is not on the list, but if you believe it he had a total of one post here in the parts section. I guess that makes a weak case. I did want to mention Robert Coats who started the cartoon thread passed 7/18/24.

DD74, David Dorion, passed away around May of 2022.

Not sure of the official cause of death but it was some kind of internal bleeding. Might've been somewhat Covid related, not sure. He was getting every vaccine booster shot. He wasn't in the best health.

Otto once told me a very interesting story that has to do with how this forum was created.
