I was going to guess the mall from "Weird Science" where the Ian and Max dropped the slushie on Wyatt's head.

So that is what is so special about that place. I see it there right next to the freeway but never have been there.

a guy on my local forum maintains a weird animals thread on my local forum and did a write up on these

This fish could quite literally be a thing of legends, it's bizarre shape, massive size and considerable rarity could have plausibly lead old time sailors to see these fish and believe them to be sea serpents.

They live in all tropical oceans but are very rarely seen or even caught. They grow up to 17 metres which makes the possibly the largest bony fish.

What's cool is their eggs are brightly coloured and boyant. When the eggs hatch the larvae feeds/exists with the zooplankton and once it has grown significantly to require more than just zooplankton they leave the surface until they're sick or dying.

Nothing that I know about. It was gutted many years ago and completely remodled. I haven't been there since then.
