The Real American Way: Kill you in your sleep on Christmas night (Pic)
The Real American Way: Kill you in your sleep on Christmas night (Pic) | Daily Dawdle

I read elsewhere that the Hessians (German's in British uniforms) were tough fighters, and best not go head to head with them.

User blog:Omnicube1/Hessians vs. Saint Patrick's Battalion - Deadliest Fiction Wiki - Write your own fictional battles you have always dreamed of

Quote:
Hessians
Hessiansoldiers
Hired for their brutal, yet disciplined tactics, the Hessians were German mercenaries who were utilized by the British Empire. A majority of the Hessians were sharpshooters, musketeers, and fusiliers. In addition, German hussars were chosen for their swift riding. They engaged in all major conflicts until 1777 when their role was changed to garrison force. Because of the British usage of Hessians, more Loyalists soon supported the Patriot cause due to the fact that non-English speaking men were brought in to fight their war.

I used to take the boom from my Hobie Cat home... then have to take it back when I wanted to sail again...

And I put the mast diagonally through my 1969 911T.. and drove carefully through a sleepy seaside town on Long Island back to my Hobie..

It was an early form of theft protection... as some people who just beached their cats and furled the sails sometime returned to missing boats.

I wish I could have gotten a rear angle picture. This guy was about to enter the Caldecott tunnel. If he clips anything on the passenger side the pole was going to whip around and take his head off. Just crazy in my opinion.
