At the Cadillac Ranch. I had some fun there. "ECVW" stands for East Coast Visits West. That was the name of the Manx Club sponsored trip.

Moonrise over Placerville Airport

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Placerville is a nice little town. I go there a lot because Marshall Hospital is a customer of mine. Love Sweetie Pie's for breakfast.

I work with a local architect here who does a lot of similar designs - he's a bit eccentric at times but extremely talented. Sometimes it takes years and years for someone like that to open up to your ideas and input but when it happens it makes you feel pretty good. Overall I let them have their way - it's easier and usually turns out fine.

Oh yeah, on those job, we just do, mistake or not. that's ok, I have lots more hair to loose, but a Greene and Greene made me work for my money a few years ago. Still, those jobs are lots of fun.

Publisher Benedikt Taschen says of the iconic 1960 home he bought in 1997 and restored, "It's the responsibility of the owner to preserve it for future generations because a house like this doesn't belong to one or two people: It belongs to mankind."

To the left of him, there is a sliding door that runs at a weird cure all the to the ceiling LVL. I built that stupid door on the job that has a matching veneer on all the panels. There's a 1/16" gap on the edge of this funky curves when its closed.

The slate floor has been cut from some tile factory. Every 8"x8" is the very same pattern. It looks random, but it isn't.

this is what it should have looked like at one time. I think I like the new stuff better. That whole entire panel is new. All book matched Ash.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1410249110.jpg

I would think that one of them would spontaneously combust because of incongruity if you know what I mean.
:eek::D:eek:

The Grand Funk 8 Track tape was not staged, it is just what happened to be in the player when I shot the pics 41 :eek::eek: years ago. I have been a life long non smoker and that includes wacky tobbacy. Heck you can see the fire extinguisher on the floor!:D

I was too lazy to dust the scans.

That car cost $2,650 brand new. I paid if off on 12 months.

Joe, this looks like the Ohio/Indiana state line at I70 in Richmond, IN...close to where I grew up. Cool trip and Buggy by the way.

Thanks, we like it. It's kinda nice when the valley is zapped in fog but we have sun. Can't beat the fact that 8 out of 10 nights, you can see the Milky-way snake across the night sky with the naked eye. Although our monthly gas bill sucks-balls due to our home to work commute mileage. But it's all about balance......

Your spot on regarding Sweetie Pie's. That place is the absolute bomb on breakfast. Hands down the best in Pville. Not sure how long it's been regarding your visit, there have been a couple of new additions to the Main Street resurants. If your looking for lunch or dinner, you'll need to give them a try. Fantastic food and we go there often.

This pizza place rocks and they're serve the thin crust Italian style. You don't walk out stuffed and looking for a rock to sun yourself, aiding food digestion.

This is another great restaurant that serves Mexican style meals. Can personally recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer and the chicken burrito. With this place, you will take something home and or need to find a sunny rock if you go anaconda mode and finish off everything. Not that I have personal experience with that..... Although, I do have a few sunny rock recommendations if you do need one.

If you in town, give me a shout. We could grab lunch and talk Porsche stuff.

Cheers
