Those old aerials are cool. We have a huge archive of old aerials on the Oklahoma City area. We get hired to dig up old aerials of other areas of the country on occasion. What we like to do is make a file that drops on top of current Google Earth images. The client can turn off the historical layer and see what is there now and then turn on the old layer and see it as it was in the 1950s.

This is one of our images from 1954 of the original Wiley Post airport. This area is covered in homes and business now. That is a drive in theater on the right side of the road. The airport was just a grass field.

Looks like they spilled sugar all over the place!

Shot these photos in my 5 acre backyard this morning. Buck was in major rut stalking/chasing the doe, (don't we all?)

she also had 2 fawns by her side from last spring. I walked up within 50 feet of him.

This guy has been hanging out for the last several months in the neighbors backyard (probably all of 40'x150') here in PDX. Comes every morning, leaves every twilight. We figured he was an old bachelor trying to get away from the deer family who comes to the front of the house (1 doe and 3 juveniles).

This Gal has been hanging in my hood for a while... A few afternoons ago, she mowed through one of my wife's rose bushes...
