Please, ask Craig. He seems to know more that everyone else. You are right, I know a lot more about his situation.

I was just in Moscow, then Berlin at the factory service center where the plane was heading.

Talked to the people there and got the story from the factory engineers in Berlin but its funny that no one mentioned that the "pilots were screwing around" in any of the conversations. They did mention that the right engine puked on takeoff and was spitting flames just as it rotated, then rolled on its right side flipping on its top.

Two of the three onboard were still in a medically induced coma the last I heard, with the third person still in the hospital.

Well, when you have worked with one of the pilots on board, then see crap like this posted on the internet, it does get people worked up a bit.

BTW, you do the pic's. I do an EKG stress test every six months for my heart and health. When was your last exam?

internet is full of crap, if you gonna get worked up about every bit of crap , you'll have to be worked up 24/7

besides, there's friendlier ways to make a point then immidiately going into the offensive...

Yipes, Joe - chill out.

I could have sworn I read an account here on Pelican that said the pilots were "screwing around"
Well, I can't find it.

Guys,

The problem is that with the internet being what it is, everyone can see stuff like this. Right now the Russians are detaining the flight crew and have heard rumors that they are not giving full medical treatment because they do not know who is going to pay the bills.

Please, if you were not there, do not know for sure, then lets not post things that you are not for sure about!!?? What if these guys wives, parents and so on finds a post like this? The company they work for? On and on the hole gets deeper so if you are not sure, then dammit please do not post it.

These guys are still in a hospital bed in Moscow fighting for their lives and the last thing that they need are posts on the internet saying that the accident was the cause of their messing around. Its just not needed.

I do apologize.

I for one HATE internet untruths and bull*****.
That said, I am certain I had read about the pilots "screwing around".
It was provided in a light of truth - and I bought into it.

I worked at Boeing for a number of years as an engineer, and my father was a co-inventor of the flight data recorder -- so I do share some sensitivity towards flight rumors and truths.

Flight Data Recordings are absolutely chilling things to hear - effectively: people dying.

Apologies. I tried for 1/2 to find that reference......

Is misspelling "Porsche" on this board a sin? Or is it something worse?
