I agree with Stefan. Maybe the market is different here than in the US but the aircooled market (pre89 anyway) is pretty solid relitave to most other cars.

This thread is like a burning building.
Most comments here are level-headed, but some comments make me embarassed to be a Porsche owner. Jürgen |

About depreciation on a 930...
Unless you grossly overpaid for your particular vehicle I don't think it will depreciate all that much as long as you maintain it. It's a good purchase at 6500 quid. About the post count... I always held the concept that everyone was equal. Post counts, I thought, were only for post whores. I guess I'm wrong. It's not the quality, it's the quantity. I'll proceed to up my numbers to qualify for jryerson's status then (not)! Ferrari vs. Fiat... Can anyone tell me why it's all that wrong to refer to a Ferrari as a Fiat? All kidding aside, hasn't Ferrari enjoyed the corporate umbrella of Fiat for many a decade now? Are egos that delicate that we can't refer to a Corvette as a GM product or a Jag as a Ford either? Have the brand managers really succeeded to that degree? jryerson has continued to show the public here what exactly he's made of... jryerson- If you had any idea of the geneology of the GT-R you would know calling it a Datsun would be wrong. It's a Prince. Back in the late '60s GT-Rs were tearing apart the European brands in much the same way the later GT-Rs would. Accuracy and knowledge haven't been your thing so far, so your ignorant and perceived ethnic slurs you think represent witty responses are about par for the course. But why would I expect you to be knowledgeable about real performance cars? All you want to do is impress shallow women who are easily impressed by hair plugs, fake gold chains, and cars that look good from afar, but are far from good. GTR, what exactly to do have to offer this forum? Pics of your latest stickers and placement on your car?
That will quickly bring up your post count as you have so many of them. Why don't you share some of your vast 911 technical knowledge with us? In desparation you bring in the race card to further your pathetic case, Import tuner magazines even refer to the cars as Rice. And I am sure you would like to think just shallow Women are impressed with Ferraris, its Women who appreciate cars on all levels, they will come up and start asking questions about the car, I am sure this is hard for you to believe as it happens all the time in your Nissan. |

A true car enthusiast is one who has an appreciation for the car that they choose not the amount of honeys that float around it. If that was the case I believe I would float around the neighborhood in a H2 on 24's..... (Kinda like those b-ball celebrities).

This is an off topic discussion on GT-Rs. I'm sure a majority of people here would say you are actually the one who has not brought anything of merit to this discussion. Quote:
I never claimed to be a vast automotive expert like you nor did I realise that having any knowledge about Porsches was necessary for an off topic discussion about Nissans, and specifically about GT-Rs. Quote:
That you even admit to reading such periodicals shows your need to satisfy your thirst for "done up" Civics and "import culture." It's okay, the first step to recovery is admitting your addiction... Quote:
No, just your particular one. Not all car nuts need cars to church up their self image- in fact, most don't. Quote:

Anyone see the problem with this photo-
![]() Oh... Wait a minute... It's not a 328GTS! Seriously though, that looks like some trailer park lottery winner's wet dream. No class and all cheese- sort of what I expect from a Las Vegas resident... Last edited by GTRPower; 03-04-2004 at 09:32 AM.. |
