Hey guys-

I totally agree.

However, I don't like being insulted personally.

GTR, with all due respect you came here looking to pick a fight. You got what you wished for.

This is a Porsche 911 board. If I went to a skyline board and started spouting the advantages of a 911 the same thing would happen, maybe to a larger extent.
this thread reminds me of many other boards for other brands of cars.
All we are missing is someone to post that his dad can beat up your dad.
Usually this board doesn't stoop that low.
Nice name dropping BTW. sigh.

GTR

You clearly know nothing about Ferraris, nice 328s for mid 30s? right, best stick to your ricemobiles.

And in case you were not aware which I am sure you are not the owner of this site has a Ferrari 308, so why don't you spout some more moronic crap about Ferrari?

When we dyno'd our cars last Fall, I mentioned to the dyno operator "Operating this dyno each day, you must have seen some fairly ferocious cars over the years/months." He pointed to the parking lot where two ricer cars had their hoods open and replied "Yeah, the black Honda makes 500 hp and the white Supra makes 800 hp."

A nice 328GTS can be had for mid $30K. You're price for a $50K+ 328 is laughable. I don't know a single soul who would buy a 328 for that sort of cash.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Does that include the price of gold chain(s), matching leisure suit/shoes/belt and prostetic hairy chest?

I think it's time for a group hug guys.

We all love our cars and as long as we like what we've got, who cares.

Ebay is not a good judge for market value, many auctions are not completed or are fixed.

I know quite a few 328 owners in the Ferrari community who have given their experience on buying 328s vs my own, cars selling <40k have issues, such as accidents, rust, missing
service records or mileage that does not add up and/or need a major service soon, nice clean 328s not needing service with records sell quickly in the high $47-50k, pristine examples will sell in the mid to high $50s. There are always exceptions and good deals but these are the norm.

Gold chains are not required but lots of cologne and toupees especially for Targa models are highly reccomended especially when posing in front of Starbucks trolling for a hot date.

Plenty of people with the asking price of $39,900 these days for 328s, they seem to go down quickly if you flash $35K cash.

Ended up buying a 308QV for the upper 20s, but got rid of it quickly.

Just my experience, YMMV.

I am sure as you know what may appear a bargain in the Ferrari world can quickly turn out to not be, I put in over $6k in my car in the past 2 years and it really didn't need it, a car having issues can get very expensive quickly.

Au contrare.

I have stated before, I like all cars.

I thought some things were not factually correct.

Opinions are like *********s, everyone's got one, and everyone else's stinks.

I've paid homage to Porsches. I've never argued that Porsche owners would not like their own car/marque more.

I don't doubt it. But I also haven't said the GT-R is the end-all/be-all of sports cars, nor am I myopic enough to not see the positives/negatives of the marques we've been discussing unlike our dear friend jryerson who can only spout off half witted critiques based off his own limited knowledge.

I haven't once said the Porsche 930 is a bad car. I don't understand the need for one-upsmanship in that regard. I like my cars. You like your cars.

This is what I've said to that effect-
Quote:
Thanks... In the end it's just a car, just like all the other passenger cars in the world. I just happen to like it.
Quote:
The GT-R was inspired by the Porsche 959.
Quote:
[about the GT-R]It's not an all conquering car. I don't think there is such a beast. It's not designed to appeal to everyone- no car car can do that.
Quote:
I like all cars that are cool...
I don't see why those statements should be blasted by jryerson.

I've also stated-
Quote:
I have no problems with mucking up the pH levels in this pool if jryerson wants to continue. I came here peacefully, but I will defend myself if necessary.
I don't think I've deserved those attacks, so when provoked, I responded.

What are the chances of actually getting a GTR legally tagged and through emissions (stock and/or modified) in the US. I saw the picture in the very beginning of the post, and am pretty sure that I have never seen one on the East Coast...but then again it would blend in with all of the commuters clogging up the roads.

GTRpower, you have stumbled upon the toughest, most passionate, 911 owner's group i have ever seen. we are cult-like, and consider each other friends. my girlfriend thinks we are cool but strange. nothing personal. just a common case of trash talking. i like your car, but you have to understand, it would be the same if we went into a import tuner forum bragging about our air cooled jewels. we would get slammed ugly.

hey, one of us should try it. test my theory! not me, i am not witty enough, plus my car is not running yet. haha.

"Real Ferrari drivers drive something more classy than a low rent 328GTS or a Mondial."

"I don't think I deserved those attacks"

Why don't you quit whining and read what you have posted? Everyone has been an attack on me.

You are the one that started it with me and the rest of your ricer wannabes here and you are the one that brought my Ferrari into it, accept responsibility for your actions and quit playing me as the big bad guy.
