More.............. boy oh boy, this building is long. I wonder if there were any codes when this thing was added on to last (pre-1950's?).

And more on the random side of things

I've got a passion vine in my back yard that's grown into the top of a 20' tree. The vine is covered in flowers, but they are hard to see. Mostly I see the empty buds and the occasional passion fruit that land in my back yard.

I love old building like that, every time I see one taken down, it saddens me. I would love to have an old building like that.

Thats a very cool looking building, I bet lots of history in there. They did a very good job of cantilevering the addition there, and a plus is the decorative covering. I'm currently in the process of buying a house built in 1870, with reno's done in 45 and again when it was moved 15 years ago..all kinds of neat stuff is discovered when looking into older building's pasts.

OK, the necklace is cool, but the chest hair was entirely unnecessary.

This is one cool, spooky, and historic look at the kinds of buildings:

Taken this morning, look at the interior - the ash tray is overflowing with butts.

+1. Sometimes I can understand tearing a building down when it is just too far gone. What sickens me is when they are just flattened without saving any of the trim or other features. Happens a lot here.

They just tore down a 100yr old church 2 miles from me. It was almost disturbing... 3 hours with a recip saw and you would have had 10 arched windows & 4 10 ft arched doors. Nope... just flattened. The 35 ft steeple came down in one piece, standing upright. Flattened.

Pics? I love old homes even more than I love old cars & boats. I wish there was a forum like PP for old homes. This Old House is really missing the boat in that department.

Yesterday Hwy 1 south of Carmel. Guy steps out of what looks like an suv to snap a pic and forgets to put it in park. No one injured.

Also one non crash photo of 1.
