A Brown Anole sitting on a flower at one of my recent projects. This is a highly invasive non-native species which has essentially chased our beloved native Carolina (Green) Anoles up into the trees....

Yep, I remember seeing, catching and playing with the green ones all of the time when I was a kid in the 70s in FL. I rarely see them any more. In the last 20 years here in Houston, I've seen a few of the green ones, but the brown is much more common.

Thanks Steve- that's my fav. Hibiscus.....the "Painted Lady"!

They are sometimes available as a standard (tree form) and I use those quite a bit on my projects to elevate the personality of the design.....
