Today I made a hanging bromeliad planter out of a cedar tree section. I reduced it's size a little with my chainsaw, lined the bottom with sphagnum moss, set 5 (1 gal. size) Neoregelia Fireballs into the moss after removing the pots, packed more moss in between, fastened some plastic screening on both ends to help contain everything on the two open ends, attached some eye hooks and rope and then hung from an Oak branch at my latest project (the Tom, Dick, and Harry raised beds project). These Fireballs branch like crazy over time and then as a growth habit will cascade down over the sides of this planter.
