Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Progressively worsening air quality from OC to Sac due to the fires

Wife and I walked a newly paved section of new trail East of us, 28 miles long (Rails to Trails project)... connects up to an existing 30 mile trail we can access with gravity, mostly.
The leaves have pretty much given up the yearly battle  Nice Raptor nest  Local land bumps past the mighty Stillaguamish river

Hello Glenn- A very happy thanksgiving to you too!!
This area is East of Arlington Washington named the Whitehorse Trail. It goes from our little town up to Darrington- right through the Oso landslide. I have not walked or biked the landslide section yet, its still soo surreal... one of many many things I'm thankful for is the fact that my Son and I drove through the landslide area about a half hour prior to the disaster on our way into the mountains for an overnight backpacking trip. We had no idea what had occurred until we saw road closed signs on the way home the next day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Oso_mudslide Our guardian angels were watching out for us that day for sure! Lunch break on that trip back on March 22, 2014  Home away from home  Nice view from camp of Jack mountain wearing it's winter overcoat
