My Son turned 27 yesterday, he's headed off to Prague in a week to teach for a school year... has me reminiscing about our shared adventures.

My favorite was in 2010, into the Alpine wilderness to a lake that shall remain nameless. No marked trail to it on any map, you need to do some overland navigation and 2 days of carrying a pack to get to the most perfect campsite I've ever had the pleasure to spend several nights at.

It's not a real hiking trip until first blood, he was a week shy of 18 on this trip

While doing wash, I discovered several coins that had wedged themselves between the side drum and floating base. By the looks of them, they have been there a bit of time by the wear pattern. They also were preventing the floating base plate to work as designed.




A major PITA to remove but now it is back up to speed.
