Went out to the North end of the local lo cal Airport for the Pegasus meteor shower. Not as dark as I'd hoped and I think I saw 1 meteor...

Cold clear days here in the PNW, dark by 4:30 in the afternoon though... 8.5 hours of daylight has me wishing for early October when there were 11.5 hours to go outside and play. 20 degrees warmer helps too.

I saw an episode of some cop-investigation show where a tree shaker was used to kill someone.

Here's what we used to pick them up with. Our little harvester blew the engine just as we got started, but a local farmer had this beast available. This one did in one day what our's takes 4-5 days to do.
