^Interesting shot^
Reminded me that digital cameras don't like getting cold or wet.

The images rendered after a camera dunking were also... interesting

^Also had that blur feature happen to a couple cheapo cameras.
Those start to get expensive when replaced every year or so.
Someday I'll need to plunk down for a decent industrial-strength one..

But hey why not use blurry lens to an advantage?
The organic chiaroscuro combined with a warm glow of lights makes a interesting picture, at least for my own artistic fixation at the moment.

Another use of other photo elements which I want to get more of is red and yellow sunset background, maybe off clouds, crackly sharp dark bare trees, lumpy dirt road, cool blue snow scattered everywhere, warm streetlight, shadows to blanket everything and confuse the eye for a second to make the viewer figure out the geometry of it all.
A swirling mix of elements fighting and interplaying against themselves. Random confusion turns into complex reality.
That sort of thing.

I've seen it a few times but didn't have a camera.
Still have to find those perfect spots at the perfect time.

Nice John!

I like both versions, the first has a dream like feel, wasn't sure what the lights in the distance were until the enhanced version Scott uploaded.

Prague, October 27th.

On the 26th we covered 17.6 miles and 85 floors elevation change on foot according to my somewhat trusty fitbit, kept it down to 12 miles this day.

Apparently getting out on the Vitava river in car-boats is just the thing to do on a National holiday if you live there.

Or visit the national museum, or Prague Castle, or just go for a walk and look at walls, buried soviet tanks and stuff. At least that's what we did... less the boating.

Did a little re-organizing the Craftsman multi drawer toolbox that belonged to my step-father and found this note in his hand writing with some specifications for fertilizing a Bougainvillea. He died just over 10 years ago so I enjoyed finding this little reminder of his endeavour to properly maintain one of his plantings.

They are burning up the forests here this week. Pretty surreal to drive by it like nothing is wrong.

The city center of Rome is covered in graffiti...even the metro trains are all tagged.

A tree shaker to get fruit off? Those poor trees like like they're more likely to lose their leaves if you shake them too much.

I saw an episode of some cop-investigation show where a tree shaker was used to kill someone.

They're walnut trees. Yes, leaves come down with the walnuts, but the harvester separates most of them out.

Thanks, nuts, that makes more sense than fruit since fruit bruises.
