Just stepped out back in the dark and saw this guy's silhouette in one of my landscape lights. What's that Joni said...the hissing of summer lawns.......

				 | This guy would not leave. Hung around for over 1/2 and hour eating from the garbage pail. Finally left when he ran out of food.

I was outside in my yard late last night and saw these moths fluttering around my Agave. One landed and I got a good close up look at it. They really are very cool looking with their antenna and wing markings. I will try to get a photo soon (didn't have my camera handy last night) but here's a pic from the web. It's called an "Echo Moth".... Edit: Just looking some more on the Web and they show this caterpillar as the larva stage of the above moth. I've been seeing these caterpillars ALL OVER the place the past couple weeks so it all makes sense now. Nature is incredible, isn't it?

^^^Great shots. I have great admiration for the foxes here. I only see foxes from a distance in the morning and late afternoon. Some game camera action:

I had a 155# Alaskan Malamute that hunted, and caught mice like that. Funny to see that huge dog jump like that and come up with a tail hanging out of his mouth. He never ate them, always brought them to me as a 'gift'. | ||
