There’s a ditch in the woods at the end of our street that drains a big lagoon and the streets into the sound. BIG gator lounging in there this afternoon…picture doesn’t do him justice. His head was about 2 feet long! | ||

| Registered | This little rise is the top of the only remaining gas chamber at Auschwitz death camp in Poland. Our Globus tour allowed us to enter the chamber, most stayed outside. The Nazi's managed to blow up the others before the Red Army arrived in January, 1945. We learned there that the Polish State requires school children to visit the camp before they graduate to maintain the memory of this horror. Most of the visitors while we were there were school kids. | ||

Interesting, most of it isn't obvious except for the sky being darkened.

This truck was in, "Flags of Our Fathers", owned by a friend of mine then and now. He is driving it to his 35th USNA Reunion a a week or so. He called and asked if I would drop him at the truck, which he keeps at the farm he sold a few years ago to the Mennonites.

So glad that Byron got a phone with a better camera (yes, it's been a few years now). The cameras in modern phones are really amazing. last night shortly before sunset sunrise from yesterday or day before weird pink slime in the bird bath.
