Lake Chelan is really a neat place.

those look pretty edible. But then I'm not hunting the ones that come on my property.

Venison is tasty, but I don't really have an interest in performing my own hoof to table. I used to have a buddy that had a lease and he would give me a little meat when he'd get a deer. THAT'S the way to do it. If I was starving or had to, I believe I could manage.

I don't either. My son does and we have a group we trust that knows how to do the entire process. Our farm is like I-5 between woods.

My son was home last weekend and we had to put down yet another clay pigeon rebellion.

Got to visit a friend’s friend’s house on Hayden Lake, ID when attending a birthday bash at KCOE.

The interior wood work was absolutely exquisite. Unfortunately he is dealing with a ruptured water pipe problem that really damaged the interior. They just don’t have woodworker artisans like they use too.

Sections of the Deschutes look pretty challenging- so far I'm a flat water kayaker.


Annual Ross Lake adventure was last week, just me and my best buddy from high school this time.
2 nights camping uplake a couple miles and 2 nights in the floating cabins.
What an amazing way to experience North Cascades grandeur!

Someone planted red shiners in the lake several years ago, the Rainbow and bull trout love them and are getting big. In turn the Osprey, Bald Eagle, Otter and wildlife populations all seem to be booming.

Shiners by the tens of thousands now.

Another $25k of my own money to fix city-certified mistakes: Piping (Orangeburg bitiubituminous fiber pipe) from the 1950s-1970s.
It is basically tar soaked cardboard.




There was a nice mature tree growing directly right on top of my city lines and sewer connection. Someone once thought that was a good idea.
City property. City tree. I couldn't touch it by law.

Work underway. The city demanded a $4800 "canopy loss fee" to remove it. I told them to hide that idea away from sunshine. That is putting it nicely. I went up that ladder quick. They supposedly want my neighbor across the way to pay $10k to be able to expand his driveway cut to normal and usable. In this last decade alone I've paid more in city taxes than I did for this house.

The city forestry workers were exceptional. On time and did a good job. Hard work in hot weather despite having to rent equipment. They swore on the Bandit chipper brand and must have put two foot logs through that thing like nothing. It was all gone in half a day.

I will replace that tree with probably a few more..during planting season..and at my own cost.
