What camera body/lens do you use?

My wife found a good deal for a couple nights up at Sun Mountain Lodge last week- that requires a drive up over Washington Pass and into Northeastern Washington.
It's closed during the winter due to huge snow loads and avalanche risks for the 5,000' pass. Love dropping into the Methow valley. Much drier than the West side and still plenty of runoff to keep the rivers full this time of year.
Lots and lots of good trails in that area, we covered about 8 miles and enjoyed every step.







In layman's terms- no outhouse at this trailhead, go pee in the woods!










She's still got a good arm, first snowball was 10' left, 2nd throw pegged me dead center left knee.

Overnight BP trip with offspring
Ross reservoir drawn down 80' to make room for stupendous amounts of runoff from the surrounding mountainsides.
That also enables hikes to summer time islands.

For some odd reason camping on an island, in a lake, in the mountains strongly appeals to me, my Son loves it too- even better!













Some things are worth the weight- like a bottle of beer, or two.
He's 22 in this photo- I love having a beer with him.
I do try to maintain some semblance of a "Father figure"



You can almost see it in his eye's- Hmmmm, wonder if the old man can make back up that first steep pitch to the trail?
