Maybe. But "the rest of the universe" may be like saying "the rest of the Sahara Desert"

It would seem that the universe of Battlestar Galactica is fairly empty...haven't run into any aliens yet...no other habitable worlds except Kobol, and we know how that works out.

Besides, there may be the innate reasoning that if the Colonists of Earth left Kobol at the same time as the Colonists of the 12 Worlds, that their technology will be comparable, so why not go looking for earth.

I'm kinda hoping they WILL run into aliens eventually. It would make for some interesting story arcs besides the continuous "cylon-war" plot.

Lite ending:
BSG reaches Earth, Earth is just as advanced maybe even more advanced and destroys all the Cylons because they are up on thier virus protection.

Dark ending:
BSG reaches Earth, but Earth has already been destroyed by their very own and slightly different version of technology gone wild Cylons. The Earth Cylons join the party for the final kill of the last of the humans.

Sci-fi channel splits their season into two half-seasons. The 14 episodes of season two that already aired are just 2.0. I believe in January, they start up with 2.1 (or 2.5 - whatever they are calling it...)

Been watching my season one DVD collection - missed a lot of subtlies the first time watching it - the DVD's are good as a reference tool.

Now for my next question (It may have already been posted and discussed here - I forget)

How many models of human-looking cylons do you think there are?
Based on the blonde's name, I am assuming at least six. So that means we know five of the six models:
1. Sharon
2. They guy they left at the weapons depot
3. The tour guide/Kevin Spacey lookalike
4. Xena - warrior reporter
5. ?
6. Number Six.

Wonder if they will reveal who the 'missing' cylon model is...

Although it is open to interpretation as to whether the note left for Adama only mean "Humanoid" cylons. In that case, the last 3 would not be included.

There are 12 models. It was announced at some point. My question is this: They've got a 'sharon' on thier side, why don't they have her and a police artist do pictures of the rest?

And the 12 models - was that when Daltar was questioning Sharon #1 when he put poison in the chief? Gotta go back and see the episodes again... So much to remember with this show. That's probably why I like it so much - the intricacies of it all.

Remember in the pilot, Adama found a note in his quarters indicating there are 12 models. Sharon was talking about the number of Cylon agents hiding in the fleet, if I remember correctly.

Just got Season 2.0 on DVD as a late X-mas present. Hmm - got a week to go through 1/2 of season one, and 2.0 before next Friday....

Problem is, I've got a PCA Board of Gov's meeting on Friday. Talk about conflicting priorities!

If you start tonight you are starting half way through two episode cliffhanger that ended last season. I'm sure they'll have some kind of recap, but it's a bad time to start watching.
