Well...

1. It doesn't bring in a whole lot of money. Actually, it brings in about $0.00, if you round up.

2. Talent? Training? For this??

The client (being careful here....) stated that he preferred the services of the flight attendant over the services of the pilot. Job and responsibility for the clients' safety was suddenly not fun anymore.

I have landed another job, but even it is not fun. Maybe it will get better.
Michael, some people do not realize that the flight attendent's duty is to save our A$$es in the event of an emergency. Do not believe that her conduct with the client has any bearing to her job.

You did the right thing and am proud of you for doing so. As well, she will never work for anyone I fly with either. Keep heading West and hope you always have a tailwind!

Plan B? At the risk of sounding Monty Pythonesque, I've never wanted a job in business...I always wanted to be....

Funny-I was really fed up the other night and told my wife I wanted off of the ride (work-wise). The stress is literally destroying my body one vertabra at a time. She kind of freaked out.

We've done well at saving the last few years and ultimately could scale back on lifestyle, and live on a budget. I'd still work, but at something I enjoy vs. focusing on making money. The first problem is: what would I enjoy, be somewhat good at, and get paid a reasonable salary for? All I've done for the last 20 years is sell restaurant equipment. Internet business of some sort? Work at Home Depot?

The second problem is: My wife wants to go back to Cali for retirement. We should have bought a disposale house and invited derelicts and winos to live in it for free. We'd at least have a leg up on the real estate costs.

Robert,

Been there and done that. Its fun flying but a lot of paperwork these days. In the old days you just loaded the hopper and flew but now with the EPA its a whole different world.

I got out. Had a friend take a AgCat into some wires when the engine coughed. We pulled him out but he killed every flower in the hospital wing for weeks with the chemicals coming out of his body after the crash. He is ok now but who knows what he will be like at 70 or older.

I still remember the paraquat days... we could care less about it and now its considered deadly. We just wiped our hands on the jeans and moved on. Guess that may be part of my problem... problem... problems...
