A couple of rocket scientists taking photos at Rally Australia yesterday, caught on Neuville's onboard camera. Camera is built-in to driver's side mirror, looking forward. Note speed of car ....

Maybe "rocket surgeons" might apply - almost makes the "Darwin Award" list. Pretty dumb-a$$ed!

Cheers

It amazes me how in these litigious days how ballsy rally fans are... from the races I have watched car routinely go off into the woods... and fans standing around a corner where where cars are sliding sideways at high speed.

I have been to a total of one NASCAR race with a buddy who was a fan (free tickets), Our seats were in the middle of the front stretch. There were large metal posts and cables between us and the track but the cars were shooting by at close to 200MPH. My friend turns to me and says "if one of those gets airborne we are dead" I said "that is part of the thrill!"

Taken from 10K on a flight out of John Wayne. I can’t imagine the size at sea level.

Freaking huge! Taken with an iPhone.

LMR's C7 Corvette. Runs 7.5 in the 1/4 mile. Still has full interior, functioning A/C and is street-driven. I'm so old, I remember when funny cars were running 7's!

First Nuclear Powered Car - Ford Nucleon Discussed

Quote:
The first nuclear car has not been built yet. But, a concept vehicle named the Ford Nucleon was developed in the 1950's that was supposed to one day be powered by nuclear energy............................

In the 1950's people were not aware of the harmful effects of the nuclear energy and slowly with time when it became clear that how dangerous nuclear energy was people subsequently dropped the idea of producing the first car using nuclear energy.
