Milk % of choice?

For general consumption, sports drinks are no better than Soda. Used for their intended purpose, keeping blood glucose levels up, restoring mineral salts and water, they are fine.

I mix my own now, since I hate the price and I hate the flavors. Gatorade only has lemonlime and orange in the powder form. I use standard lemonade mix plus 1 tsp of "lite salt", 1/2 NaCl and 1/2 KCl, per gallon of mix. Or 1/4 tsp per qt. I only use sports drinks when I am riding/exercising for over 1 hour. Anything less than 1.5 hours, and you don't need them.

I also make my own "power gels", using mostly dextrose and a little lemonade mix for flavor. I also mix in lite salt, pulverized calcium and a little caffine, matching the properties of "Gu".

Back on topic, I prefer 4%, but I gave it up for everything but coffee. I use skim milk for everything else.

How to Instantly Turn a Glass of Milk into Sugar (powder real)

Open the box of baking soda. Add one teaspoon of citric concentrate to the top of the baking soda. Mix this into only the top part of the baking soda. Make sure that it is mixed well into the very top. Do not mix it further than about two centimeters deep.

Place the box of baking soda inside the freezer. Leave it there for about 24 hours. A little longer is okay.

A few hours before taking the baking soda out of the freezer, fill a container with hot water. Place the whole container of honey in the hot water. Warm the honey this way. Do not put it in the microwave.

After a full 24 hours of being in the freezer, the baking soda should be chilled. By this time, the honey should be warm, but it can sit in the water for a big longer if needed.

Pour the milk into the glass. The milk should be cold.

Add about four or five drops of honey to the milk.

Add less than a teaspoon of the baking soda and citric concentrate mix to the milk. Wait just a few seconds. While waiting, make sure to watch the glass. The milk will have turned into a solid white powder. Pour some out into your hand to prove that it is not a trick.

If others still do not believe you, get another glass or a bowl and pour the powder into it.

I avoid drinking a lot of milk, just for lattes occasiobaly , and then I like whole. It's not that I don't like milk, actually I love it, and I'm not lactose intolerant, but experience has taught me that it makes my breath something that would gag a dog...

that shyte is nasty, Mom made us drink that crap because between the four kids and Dad, we went through like 10 G a week, which takes up a lot of room in the ice box

Whole milk here, get it for my grandson mostly, but it works better for chocolate malted milk, white chocolate latte and so on.

Nuts? Crazy like a fox more like it, now I know how to turn milk into sugar

BTW red, you can get all sorts of flavors gatorade in powder form

Yikes. I take that when backpacking - anything dehydrated is on top of the list ...
