No racers were hurt in the destruction of this car. After my rookie club race in 2010, I hit a deer at Summit Point doing a test and tune day. Got the car back together in time for the VIR race and finished out the season by getting hit from behind at the Summit Point race. Put me out with bent suspension but not a lot of damage to fix before Sebring and Road Atlanta in 2011 but then crashed into the pit wall barriers at Watkins Glen due to contact at the start of the fun race. Big fix to straighten the tub and got it back together for Summit Point to end the season. 2012 was my make it or break it year and I broke it mechanically or body wise at almost every race of six. The death knell came at Mid Ohio after I spun at the start and was hit head on by a following car, again on the right side. It was determined that the tub would not be sound if we straightened it again so the parts were distributed liberally and will live on in a dozen or so other cars.

I'm having my shoulder rotator cuff worked on tomorrow. Hoping for similar results. They also plan to repair a torn bicep tendon. Fun, fun, fun!

Before:

Previous owners left a lot of takeout menus .

After:

Fridge is right behind prep counter. Knives, spices, and pans are all there within reach. Trash pulls out with foot. Cooking is fun again.
May add a small counter/cabinet on right of stove, but that corner is a bit tight.

Jeff, what's the mantle material? We're thinking of a clear-coated brushed AL for ours. Blue Pearl granite is the facing.

If that is a piece of stained glass in the after picture, that is a nice touch.

That mantle is a piece of vertical grain Fir stained dark with a few semi-gloss clear coats on top. I am not sure if I have another picture of it, but will try and find something later today for you. I try to be good with photographs on all home remodels we rebuilt for sale. Most of these are completely gutted from one end to the other. New owners like that and they have a record of things both before and after. other then that, I really do not take pictures of projects we complete for clients.

Did those guys finish the fireplace yet?
