Holidays

Morning Gents,

Well I have semi retired, only work three days a week, so hve a four day weekend, still don't seem to get much done. Going to Tasmania, even further south in September for two weeks for my Dad's 80th birthday, driving down (not by Porsche) with the family, going on an over night ferry, then doing some touring around what they call the Apple Isle, very beautiful part of the world, world heritage listings everywhere.

Got the holidays for Christmas New year sorted as well, going to the beach to stay with friends, and another week later in the school vacation again at the beach. Us Aussies love the beach, as you might have guessed.

About to go somewhere in town for 'mornos' morning tea with the hubby and youngest midget, if we can drag him away from his Xbox!

Will be doing some more cleaning on the 356 this weekend, nothing too drastic, maybe take out the front seats and work out how to strip the old vinyl off and clean them up ready for the new seat vinyl, which I already have received from AutosInt. colour match for original seat colour is pretty good, even if the old stuff is 50 years old. Almost as old as me!! And my colour isn't looking too original!!!

Have a good weekend gents..

P.s.

for mine I would like to look like the skinny ***** standing by the lake, I would have scope to add a bit of curve (read 'eat something') so wouldn't have to starve to death to still look okay!!!!

but not stopping you guys from dreamin'

will have to post a pic of the hubby, if he had a tan he could give the guys in the pics Geronimo put up for me a bit of competition, (in a few years ..lol).

cheers

So.... Its looking like I have options for next summer.....

Two different places on Roatan off the coast of Honduras, or there is a similar deal in Malta.

I have a feeling even though Malta is cheaper upfront, I fear the food, entertainment, etc. will make up the difference.

Have a good weekend!

Nothing like onsite network support with only an iPhone. I'm actually getting things done.

Stijn!!

We made it to Leeds Alabama as planned. Here is one stretch of road in Alabama that everyone was running at 80 plus (of course I was never speeding myself )

For the most part the traffic was not bad.

This is a map that shows where the photo of the road was taken. The pin point most southeast is where I got gas.

Sorry the photo is sideways, I posted this from my phone.

Well...OKC is on odd/even water rationing and this Saturday is an even date. So...I will be herdin sprinklers all day to try and keep what little grass I have from burnin up. This has been a horrible lawn season. About half my bermuda didn't come back from winter and even though I've been using a fertilizing/weed service and watering regularly the grass has only needed mowed 4 times since spring.

We've been on rationing for the past 2/3 years. Now we have too much water and we are still rationed. Hmmm.

'Ello...

Nope. I'll have time this weekend to drill the chassis. Also no rush since I'm still waiting on a few things.

Morning, guys!

Glen, it would be interesting to hear what kind of mileage you get with long distance driving.

Stijn!!

We have arrived.
This is the luggage that came out of my 911.

We unloaded the car and went looking for a grocery store, and a place to eat. We finally found a seafood place that did not have a wait and got fed.
