Same for me,Rick.
But it was booked in for the job.
Its crazy, stone chips from racing in the hills, I dont care.
But dirt that you can wash off, drives me crazy.

Rick, in NM where we just were, the bears have learned that ice chest shape, means food. So if it is out if sight it is safe, if it is in sight and doesn't smell they will still smash the window and go after it. They are smart animals, which is scary given their size and power.

Brother that is NOT staying with me and chairman of the board for the company I work for is insisting I take a vacation and go to the 928 gathering in Marble Falls TX. When I told him I was waiting to see if my mechanic got the electrical issues resolved, he said he would let me take his 2011 Mustang GT500.

What's your bros interest in you being gone?

And he trusts you with a gt 500? Has he ever ridden with you?

I am pretty sure my brother's interest isn't in me being gone. I think he feels a bit guilty because I take care of our 92 yo Mother (the reason they have me working from home) and haven't taken a vacation since this time last year. He also knows my other brother is a real bother to have around. I am getting very very tired of watching ancient aliens over and over and over and over.

He let me drive the GT500 after he first got it and I drifted some corners with him explaining how I feel out the limits of a car. Also Kimray's new International rep brought his boxster to a couple of our autocrosses and was impressed with my times and his ride and told a LOT of people at Kimray. Several other employees told me he talked about our autocross and how much I helped him and how fast I was. Besides, My brother has enough money that the Mustang ain't nothing. Kimray also has, 48 Ford F100 Resto-mod, 2010 Super Snake Convertible, 1500 mile Stock 57 T-bird, a 68 Chrysler 300 convertible, a 65 Chevelle builtup as a drag car, and a new Tesla Roadster. They recently got a Beck 356 speedster and are putting a Porsche 914 4 banger they had from their Karman Ghia in it. Don't think letting someone drive his Mustang is really and issue to him. He will probably just drive the t-bird.

Yeeeej, I found my set of new Mahle pistons.
Thanks Stijn for the tip. Mr Wahl gave me two quotes, one for pistons if they would be in stock at Mahle and a second quote for when he needed to start from blanks and make them himself.
He then sent me a second mail telling me that there is still a set available.

Awesome! (not really cheap but a hellovulot cheaper than a set of P&C's)

Yup yup! I already replied, making my order!

I did stick with stock pistons. Custom job would be 70€ per piston extra. I'm not sure how much there is to gain in HP by just having custom pistons so stock will do.
