I actually don't mind Utah, what I saw of SLC( The Airport) looked nice enough. I more have an issue with Mormons. I attempted to go backpacking with a crew of them. Not so great...

I would love to spend some time checking out the scenery....

i seem to recall warning you about that. what happened?

there are some really cool things to do. that is why i stay, despite the religious majority forgetting that this is a republic and not a democracy. and the cold. i hate being cold.

Well I got injured on day two, so its hard to say much. But I could tell how it was going to be once we lost our Ranger. They were already wanting to ignore Philmont rules. Bear protocol is there for a reason, follow it idiots....

Oh and they boys would speak to me, but the adult would barely speak to me. I got injured, and none of them checked to see if I was even alive when they got in off the mountain.

oh, it is very much 'us vs. them' with mormons. for sure. you hardly rate as being worth their effort. see, they can't REALLY be your friend if you aren't mormon, as your very existence challenges their belief system that they are the only ones getting into heaven. and they do believe that. remember, i moved here from out of state, and was ostensibly mormon at the time (pretty much by default, as the parentals are mormon) and it was the same thing for me. i think i pretty much gave off the vibe, even then, that religion, especially the mormon religion, is ridiculous to me. (no offense to the religious here, this is just my personal opinion. i get that religion plays an important part, even a useful and positive part, in the lives of many. to each their own.)

I hear you re religion d. My parents raised me much the same way. Never been a big church goer and it's hard to buy into some of it.

My LP is coming home tomorrow. The back bow in the neck was corrected - I had cranked the truss rod down the night before to see if it was actually working and I guess it was. He did mention that there is no tension on the rod, which is not great, since it leaves little room for adjustment, but he said the guitar is very playable! He mentioned that some of the frets are not quite as level as they should be, so I told him to go ahead and relevel them. Very happy at the moment.
