lol

Cops said that basically he left, no note, just some vage traces.
But since there's no indication of foul play , it's shelved and nobody gives a rats ass but his girlfield at the time, and his daughter( half sis i never met)..
Everybody else seems to be saying the same thing, that nobody is surprised, and nobody misses him, and everybody but the halfsis and girlfriend think he's a scoundrel and untrustworthy type of guy.
And apparently his business wasn't doing bad, no debt, looks like he was sort of running it legit(surprised to hear that).

oh well.
Still trying to figure out the financials, where does he owe money to, how much.
but as he's not dead, and nobody has a power of attorney, i have to pry the info loose.. it's not given to me upon asking.
his house is going up for sale as far as i can tell, It's not a small place..
I know how much he payed for the ground, 20 odd years ago, then he built the house with stables on top.

The debt seems to be reasonable, and there might be something in it for the sis'es and me..
But it will take at least 6 years to officially get hims declared missing/dead.. If he doesn't show up in the meantime..

I'm not getting my hopes up, this guy is like a cat... he'll lay on the charm, then rip you ooff.
If he goes walkies on his own, he might come back in time if he feels like it, and if he didn't get run over by a truck... impossible to predict.

Oh and Rick, don't worry, i'm actually pretty laid back right now... 2nd week off work so my stress levels are really low .. Plenty of beer keeps me that way.. can't be arsed much about the garage, i'll have a look at it later today, or not, no big deal.
And the sun ain't shining anyway, so solar panels are a non issue.

Good luck on your quest, Stijn.

In Sweden (and probably elsewhere) there is a TV show with people seeking their relatives from way back. They set out with a film crew to search all over the world. Maybe I should send in an application for you.

Livi, i think you miss understand the situation.

For all intent and purpose : He can stay missing. I don't miss him.
I'm simply informing myself about the situation , so i can assert my rights if it ever comes to it.

I understand that, Stijn. I was joking. Still, finding him would possibly help you reveal what you are entitled to (or perhaps not).

This week should prove interesting. I get to tell a state government's agency that they screwed around for too long and missed their deadline. Push the project back one month, no choice. This is the fun part of the job.

Good morning guys.

Another busy week. Several work related jobs. And my crate engine comes in this week.

I have been learning a lot about the procedure to fire up and break in the new engine. The first step is to get it into the car and all hooked up.

From what I hear I am supposed to run the oil pump for a while to get the oil pressure up before I even start the engine. Then I have to break in the cam by running it at 2,000 RPM for 20 minutes.

I need to figure out some way to get it to run at 2K RPM without sitting in the car for 20 minutes.

Morning Glen.

Have the wife sit in the car for twenty minutes. Then figure out a way to make it up to her later..

Yea, that would work.

I bought a vacuum brake bleeder system just because she made a big deal about pumping the brakes once long ago.

Small wooden shim at the throttle cable Glen. Get it up to 2K, then clamp the cable jus tbefore it goes through the grommet at the carb or TB to keep the cable for retracting with a small pair of needle nose. I've seen people do it with a binder clip before.

I think you just need to run the oil pump long enough to get lube pushed though the blockand get everything wet. Shouldnt be too long.

Ok , it's official, i admit defeat vs my garage door.
That bastard is way to heavy to lift without the helper spring, and the mechanism is way to bent to simply hook it up and have it work..

time to call a pro.
