Our brilliant government with it's pending outlawing of incandescent bulbs has really hit a home run in the big game of WTF. Well I have a couple of ceiling fixtures in my den that will not be easy to change because they are built into the ceiling, and the new CFL's do not fit into the fixtures because of the depth of the sockets. Once again I have to spend MORE MONEY because of the frigging idiots that design the great ideas we have to live with. I think I will simply succeed from the union like Peter did on family guy.

Rick,

I lived in the south of France for nearly 4 years (Aix-en-Provence) 2005 to 2009, and I loved it, although the French sometimes can be a bunch of 'holes, they are lucky to live in such a beautiful place most of them don't even appreciate what they have! But given that France has been the world's battlefield through two world wars, I can understand why they are loathe to accept people or change the way they do things. They do take things just a little too seriously sometimes, and need to lighten up a bit, their way is the only way, apparently. The rest of the world is inhabited by idiots with no taste and no culture (their point of view).

I would go back in a minute and spend years there again if I could. Being a happy go lucky Ozzie I got on with everyone, and tried hard to learn the language.

Anyway, very quiet weekend, except for gardening, and washing one of the cars. Cleaned out one of the garden fishponds, sludge builds up on the bottom, they are very large ponds with coi fish, and I spent a couple of hours head down grasping sludge and plant roots from under the water, my shoulders are killing me this morning. Then floating around on the pool with a beer and potato chips!

I remeber when they did the changeing of the lights bulbs thing in the UK people when off as well, some oldies spent thousands buying bulbs so they could continue to use them for the next 20 years or until their stocks in the cupboard ran out!! I thought they were mad, we still have the normal bulbs here in Oz so wondering when ithe idiot greenies will force it on us as well.

Okay I guess I had better stop beating around the bush.
When you as a frenchman decide that during a trade show it is a great idea to get my wife drunk during the closing party then try to rape her and leave the country the next day, knowing full well the local police will take longer to do anything because of the international incident crap, and get away scott free (for the time being) it has a tendency to piss me off. When this happens more than once, by more then one guy, I have a damn good reason to want to frag the entire country.
Once I started going to the shows in NYC it was amazing how many french reps didn't show up to thee shows but left the country early.
Like I said, there is no way co convince me to change my mind nor like a country where this behavior seems to be the norm. I have names and address and keep a close eye on schedules for the trade shows. I will extract my pound of flesh.

Rick, yes french men seem to think they are wonderful, but a quick kick in the nadds seems to set them straight! Worked for me! The moral of the storys is to make sure you drink less than them, and your aim is unimpaired!

Sign me up for the lynch mob! Don't have to meet the wife to know that real men do not do that EVER!!!!!

Went to a wedding once tried to leave one of the DJ's grabbed my wife and spun her around, I stepped inside the arc and stuck three fingers under his ribs and lifted up. Had his attention and told him to let the F$## go. He whined to the groom my friend who told him he was lucky the last thing he heard was bang......

Well I don't drink so I have the advantage, as for kicking him in the nads, not my style. One thing I learned a long time ago when you punch someone in the face, your target is actually the back of their head. I may not be the baddest guy around but when I am mad enough to swing, I will do until he gets here.

All the Frenchy stuff sounds like it is PePe LePew's fault. The trick is to make your woman look French so they will run from her.

I reply much simpler to the money fishers.

Salutations,

I am very excited to partner with you to handle your international financial transactions. There is a retainer fee for my services of $10,000 and I will expect a full 10% for handling fee for each transaction. Please reply with your full business name and address so I can send you the contract paperwork to get this going.

Look forward to hearing from you soon,

And I never do hear from them. In fact, I don't usually receive one of these emails for several months or more.

Good evening guys.

I did spend some time outside. I washed my Elky and the wife's car. Daytona was a good race.
